I just recently found out that I have an STD. I have been with my hsband for about 6 years and like all woman I can't imagine him cheating, plus he doesn't have time and he doesn't work around any woman. He is getting tested next week and if he doesn't have it I will get blamed. Can I have gotten this 6 yars ago from another unsafe relationship and I am just now finding out? I have never and would never cheat on him. It is Gonohria or however you spell it. Please somebody calm my nerves because I am falling apart over this.

That is possible, according to the CDC 5% of people with gonorrhea don't know they have it. However, it would seem pretty strange to me that if this was the case your husband hadn't noticed for 6 years, I'd imagine that he would have contracted it from you long ago. According to what I've just read symptons in men are more severe than for women. I have no idea if there is any way they can tell how long someone has had it.

What does your doctor say ?

the doc says they can't tell how long you have had it. My husband hasn't had any symtoms and I read that woman get it pretty much any time in contact with it however only 1 out of 4 men actually get. I don't want him to have it so that I know he didn't mess around but if I have it and he doesn't then he will think I messed around which I didn't. I also read you cannot get it from toilets or nothing so I don't know. He says he trust me that I got it 6 years ago but is that because he has it and wants to get away with it. We have always had such a great relationship so this is a shocker. I want to trust him and stay with him:eek:
