daithi Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Im from Ireland and I have a canadian girl coming to see me from England tomorrow. We have only really been out together once and are spending the whole weekend together, which includes a four hour trip to the far side of the country. Obviously she must really like me and there will be alot of fun to be had, I just need some pointers to help keep the conversation sharp!, as im a bit rusty, I posted in here about my ex girlfriend a while back and got great help, thanks!
shopgirl82 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 You can break the ice by asking her about her flight over, was everything ok, help her settle in. Is your trip an organised tour or are you driving yourselves? You could play "tour guide" a bit and point out any interesting things along the way, she might be impressed! Ask her what she's looking forward to about the trip, is there anything particular she wants to see etc. Stop off at a scenic look out and take a few photographs. Ask her questions about herself, what she likes, how she is finding Ireland so far - standard stuff. Take her to your favourite pub/restaurant for good atmosphere, makes for easier less awkward conversation. Hope that helps, good luck!
