madame reese Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Should I ask a guy I just met out or is it really true that ladies should be passive and let the gentlemen do the heavy lifting? If he suggests meeting up but doesn't nail something down, is he not interested?

jadelil25 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 If you like him, just go for it. That is the only way which you can find out his true feelings. There is no reason why a woman can not ask out a man. This is the 21st century!
Author madame reese Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 This may sound crazy but some guys told me if they were interested, they would have asked the ladies out. So I'm torn between 1. asking the guy out and finding out for myself and 2. believing that the guy isn't interested since he didn't do more than suggest.
Mahatma Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I would only ask a girl out if I thought she was interested too. If he doesn't think you are interested, he probably wouldn't ask you out. Taking a guy out to dinner and a movie would be a little much. Just ask him to get a sandwich with you or something.
