alphamale Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 So anyways i show up at the Peruvian restaurant around 8pm and she's already there with two bottle of wine (its a BYOB place). She was nice, a bit reserved and shy but still talkative. Never been married/no kids/late 30s i'd guess. Good conversation...half way thru our dinner two little girls (maybe around 5 or 6 yrs old) can and hung out with us at our table. They talked about school and spongebob and one of them was a little firecracker. It was hilarious. Their mom came over to get them back but we said its ok for them to hang with us. Through out this we're drinkin' and getting hammered then decided to go to a bar. Had a few more and this woman (Lisa) like totally changed personality, she was dancing about and getting all touchy-feely with me. It was like two different girls ...and she's a fairly small girl, weight wise, probably 125 lbs and 5'4". Man this woman could down the drinks, holy crap, she was keepin' up with me....she became more and more outgoing the more she drank. Pretty funny. I guess we're going out next weekend. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for? Is she an alcoholic? She was fairly meek before the booze kicked in but afterward she became a lot more forward and direct. I mean more so than the average person.
mental_traveller Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Sounds good - just ply her with booze if you get bored!
fishtaco Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I think as long as she didn't flip out and do all kinds of crazy crap while blacked out then it should be no problem. And you probably also should make sure she doesn't get trashed on a daily basis or something. Some people can take alcohol. What you described is very similar to a friend of mine. She a very nice, quiet and sweet Mexican girl. I apologize if I'm being racist, but Mexicans can drink!!! They have livers of steel. She could easily drink me under the table. And she's the same way. The more she drinks, the more outgoing she becomes. And it's not because she's pounding alcohol all the time. She only drinks socially when she goes out with friends. But she just has the genes for it. So I wouldn't worry about this. But of course you still have to be on the look-out for other red flags. But you already know that.
Author alphamale Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 ok sounds good fishtaco. and anyone who can keep up with me drink-for-drink can't be all bad
You'reasian Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Dude, don't ask all these questions - just enjoy every minute of her!!!
Jersey Shortie Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Despite some of your postings, I thought that story was sweet with you, your date and the little girls. I don't think you sould worry right now. We all have a touch too much from time to time.
xpaperxcutx Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Alcohol is liquid courage. She was probably enjoying your company as well to be so open with herself.
mark982 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 enjoy your good time. have fun and just go w/ the flow.she seems relaxed with you.
stepka Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I worried about that as well in the first couple of months that I dated my husband, but it turns out that he was just fortifying his courage and once he got over being shy, there was no drinking problem at all--in fact, I generally drank more than he did, before we had kids. Then I became pretty much a non-drinker.
normal Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Your date sounded perfect. I would do what the other person suggested and just enjoy it. Sounds like a fun girl. :-)
