skjd09 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I met this guy online a few weeks back. Our schedules didn't link up due to both of us traveling for work for a few weeks. During that time, we emailed and talked on the phone almost daily. We were finally able to meet up and it went really well. The date lasted just about the whole day, conversation was fun and easy. He seemed interested- touchy and flirty, in a good way..not creepy or anything. The date ended with a hug and talking about having a good time. The next day, I sent a text to say thank you and said to have fun hanging out with this friends the next night. He responded with a cute text saying he had fun and thought I was pretty. We emailed the following day. Lots of back and forth but no mention of going out again. I debated what to do and really want to wait for him to ask me out again but I wanted to see him and I wanted to make other plans if not, so I just threw it out there. I asked if he wanted to get together again. He said he was free a few days so I threw out a day and said to call me later and we'd plan. He seemed to be receptive to all that. Now that I did it, I'm nervous. I know he said yes but do I look desperate now? I wonder if I should have waited for him to ask me or if there is something I can do now not to wreck things. Did I blow it even before we go out again?
jerbear Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I would not say you've blown it. It does sound like you might have to get more specific and let him get the hint. You mentioned you've both travel between making first contact. I think you both are in the contact phase but not really meeting and "date" phase. You're in limbo. I believe you will need to be more specific and even suggest a time to him. If he does not recipricate or counter offer, I would put it at low interest.
loser101 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 no you didn't blow it, that's fine. just wait for his response now. I know it's hard but he will call don't worry
