Littlemissme Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 3 weeks ago me and my partner for the last 2 years ended things. He instigated it and I agreed. I hurt so much as I think we both love each other but now is not the right time and the place as all we were doing was hurting each other due to difficult circumstances. I wouldnt take him back if he asked me tommorow but a big part of me is hoping that if we both manage to get out lifes sorted then we might both feel the spark again. I have a gut feeling that we will be together again and currently I have just moved out (we were living with his parents!) and we are still speaking and getting on. Its not got nasty so far and I don't know whether it would be easier to just ignore him. He wants friends but i'm not sure about me. Do people get back together, should i stay friends... argh!
Thomas X Forever Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Hell no, don't be friends. People sometimes get back together but the chances are somewhere in the 2-3% range of it ever being successful. Tell him how much you love him and care about him and the relationship, then say that you can't be friends, it's too painful, and that you have to cut him out of your life until he wants to try to make things work. Then go 100% no contact. Period.
