Ours is "Ribbon In The Sky" by Stevie Wonder. Its a beautiful song. If we make it that far, I'ma have this joint played at our wedding.

How do you guys come up with "our song?" With my XH, we had a song, "Valentine" by Martina McBride. The reason we got it was because we got married on Valentine's Day and he played it on the CD player as we drove to get married. It seemed contrived and I can't say it was anything that really stirred my heart when I heard it. So, I'm curious how you guys came to the conclusion of your song?

We'd been dating for a while but we were talking about moving in together. We were driving up to Tahoe and the song came on and he told me to listen to the words. Then it came on every time we were in the car that whole weekend. From that point on he's been my "Hero". yeah yeah -- corny as hell.

It hit home because my parents don't really express themselves that much so to see that was pretty powerful. The lyrics of the song also hit home because my GF and I had a rough beginning in our relationship. And where many others would've ended it, we pushed through it. I felt the song really did a good job putting into words her and I's relationship. During our birthday (we share the same birthday) the song came on the radio. That song coupled with the moment we shared in the car was pretty heavy. It became our official song.
