The guy is alone now. Is this on the up and up ? What would make a guy marry a Russian Bride ? Is he lonely ? Loserish ? Any info ?

Absolutely freedom for however amount of time, only to find out that the US is not what she thought it would be. I've met some Eastern European people and the amount of foods (meat) is so prevalent in the US compared to other countries. Meat is a luxury in other countries. I have a friend that went through something similar, they divorced and the girl moved back to Japan. Reasons were she was bored but I think it was really incompatibility.

My grandfather still tells me that I'm not married (old lady at 24, eh?) because I speak when I'm not spoken to. My mother refuses to divorce her bum husband (yes, my dad) because it's not her place to decide (apparently). It's a cultural thing although it is certainly improving.

Divorce is easy, especially when she is going home, however finding a divorce lawyer in this economic climate may not. They along with bankruptcy lawyers are a little busy.

They were together for 3 years and in that time never had sex because she wanted to wait for marriage. He proposed, she accepted. They got married. On the honeymoon still no sex. Stayed for another few months. Then ran off with her visa. He hasn't been able to track her down or find her since. In his case, his wasn't a mail order bride, but just an everyday woman he fell in love with.

Where I live you can file divorce papers yourself and it is final in 42 days if it is uncontested. He files where he lives and there are usually legal clinics that can help with questions. Also there could be a business there (or online) that can help with the legal paperwork and circumstances.

My friend told me that the Russian Bride went back to her country. I wonder about how much of that is true and what the delay is . The wondering is coming from him not my friend. Sometimes I wonder if he is a con man himself. I dont know him well enough to make that statement I guess but I have to ask again . Russian Bride ? It just all sounds like BS. I wish I could meet her new bf and see if he is being honest or pulling her leg. For the record she is very sweet and generous. He is unemployed. Red flags you know. ( Well for the record alot of us are unemployed but he is living with mommmy ) Another red flag. I know some kids moved back with their parents in this recession. I just dont want to give her hard questions. She is so happy. I just dont want him to be a sleaze and be lying to her about his life.

They ask the hard questions when you are too besotted by love to ask them yourself. Hes married to a mailorder bride who left the country and he is unemployed. Most likely the mail order bride said sod this, I came to the land of opportunity Im not doing it at his Mommys house I can do that at home. Where are my diamonds and furs and designer handbags? Have you seen the movie Birthday Girl with Nicole Kidman - rent it with your friend. The fact is he is married and if he doesnt know what to do to end it, then your friend should wait until he figures it out to get more involved with it.

He must clean up his life and his mess before she gets really involved. If he says he is divorced he should have copies of the papers to prove it. If he doesn't have copies he can get them from the courthouse where they were filed. It is up to you to be a friend and be her "voice of reason" so she doesn't excuse away things that shouldn't be. If he is still married he needs to get a divorce or an annulment (if it applies). And HE needs to pay for it. If she gets too deeply involved she may end up springing for the paperwork so he gets it done -- so he gets his divorce and she still has no guarantees. BAD MOVE. I don't care if they are discussing a serious future. If he is that serious he needs to clean up his crap on his own and at least show her he can manage to take care of his own stuff. Right now there isn't much he is offering as far as security and reliability. She needs to step way the hell back.

Maybe he caught her cheating or he realized that she only wanted to come to America and didn't love him. I don't think she is important at all, unless she comes back to him and he takes her. Who marries Russian girls? I'd say predominantly men who want a young, pretty girl and can't find that here in the U.S. However, maybe he was simply on a regular website and she was there too, they started talking, etc. I wouldn't call it "he wants a submissive woman." Men think that American women are bitches because they pump their rights. That's true, but European women are bitches too and pump whatever rights they think they have. We also think that men are jerks and secretly wish that they devote their lives to pleasing us - we just can't get ourselves to admit it. Men want a woman who makes them happy. They believe that a woman has to be kind and sweet and accept them for who they are, while remaining self-confident, charming, graceful, faithful, a great mother, cook, wife, etc. Don't we want the same from a man (replace the good cook with a good provider)? My point is that dreaming of a perfect woman doesn't make them bad people. And bringing a princess from a faraway kingdom totally matches their fairy tale dreams. As for him being a loser, we're all losers in some way. Find me a person who is gorgeous, smart, witty, sexy, educated, kind, and rich - and I'll prove you that they're the biggest loser out there. Just start living with them under the same roof.
