emotionalwreck Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I do the exact same thing. It has only been a week since our breakup. I make sure I have my phone with me every minute just in case. When I do get a text my heart starts pounding and I get real nervous.. It hasnt been him though. I hope this eventually stops because the disappointment of it not being him sucks!
openbook08 Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 ugh peter that sucks glad im over the hoping stage too, tho as i said, changing my no. really helped accelerate that process. and since im over that i realise just how much people rely on their and check their phones (singletons & in rships) sometimes to the point of being rude actually.

I am telling you to just let it go. Stop hoping. It is a bad place to be. Just let it go. I know this from experience. Just let it go.

But at the moment, i have other things that i really do need to check emails for and phone calls for due to lookin for jobs and employment. I have however deleted all her text messages that are in my inbox, and renamed her to something totally random. I would never have the urge to drunk dial as to be honest, im never that drunk lol.. and i was never this bad still we was sending at least 30 messages a day. Before that i sent no more then 3. Free text messages have there revenge! Im still in contact with her mom, basically as she is just so great and her younger brother but its more once a week if that type thing. But i am one of these that can happily turn there phones off to charge and after 3 hours no problem, it doesnt bother me. I have kerbed it since, but i do agree my heart skips abeat at times when it goes off. But you havent heard my tone LOL its rather LOUD and obscure..
