stace79 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Does anyone here have a situation where one day they want to end a relationship, and then the next few days change their minds? My bf and I have been discussing taking a break for at least six months. I had to move out of our place back to parents' because of being laid off from my job. We originally said we'd take a break when I moved. Well that was two months ago. On the days that I've brought up the subject, he's said "we don't have to decide tonight. Give it til next week." On the days where I've decided not to take a break, he tells me a break is what we need. Now it's back to my turn again, where I feel like I need to be away from him to focus on my new job, volunteer opportunities and being a better person on my own. I also am scared to admit that the idea of meeting other people who I might have a more solid and "normal" relationship with is appealing. Anyone have any insight? Go through something similar?
Thomas X Forever Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Hell, I will tell you how I relate. My ex, whom I loved dearly, I dated for about a year. Around month 7, I started to have second thoughts. I thought she had anger issues (she admitted to this actually), and I just overall wasn't crazy about how she acted in general. So I considered breaking up. In fact, I wanted to. I didn't tell her or anyone this though, just kept it inside. Around month 10, it all changed. I didn't wanna break up with her anymore. Didn't want to lose her. I kept it all inside, and around month 12, she broke up with me for no reason and it devastated me. Take that all how you will.
RecordProducer Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Everybody is going through that in a breakup period! You think people just wake up one morning and decide to leave? What kind of disagreements do you have? Perhaps they can be worked out. How old are you two?
andy2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I am agree with RecordProducer. "Dont go changing..rearranging"
