hotgelato Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 so its kinda like back in highschool, where you have all of your classes together every single day. You have small lab groups and whatnot and everyone in class knows everyone. You have to spend the next 2 years together and then probably be working near each other after graduation. Anyways, my question is, would you ever casually hook up with a classmate? If so, would that person be someone you are close to (friends with) or someone you just know in class but not in the same social circle.?
blue_eyes88 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Personally, if you work that closely together, I wouldn't do it. If its just someone from class but not in the same social circle, I would do that. Personally I just like to avoid awkward situations. However some of my friends, as weird as they are, live for awkwardness and drama. They think its funny. So they would have no problem dating someone they work with and are in the same social circle with just to have something to talk about and just to have a story. It all depends on your personality and how you deal with awkward situations.
EllieBean Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I once hooked up with someone in my class at university - we moved in together and dated for two years before eventually splitting up. Thankfully by the time we split we were no longer in class together so we didn't have to face each other. On another occasion (when I was 17) I dated a guy in my class at school, and when he dumped me it pretty much split up our little social circle - for the last year of school things were uncomfortable. So I guess it depends what sort of relationship you're looking for and how well you think you would both handle it if you split.
