martin1985 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I just turned 24 and don't have much experience with dating. Through my teenage years I had a lot of acne and girls weren't attracted to me. As of late things have started to change but I still lack the confidence of most guys my age. I've been working at this company for about a year and it's a really friendly place. It is a creative environment and definitely not the usual conservative and uptight company. Girls flirt with me quite a bit but it's always kept pretty light. Anyhow, I've been noticing this one girl who seems pretty shy. We have recently started to do small talk and we always laugh quite a bit. The more I talk to her the more I find her attractive. Last week she came over to my desk and offered me a chocolate cookie she had baked herself. It was nicely wrapped in a little plastic bag and I thought it was a really cute initiative of hers. What do you suggest I do from here? I know most of you guys have more experience than me and your opinion would be great.

With the information given, I personally would keep it light and just ask her to go to coffee or if she wanted to try lunch at a restaurant you saw close to work that you wanted to try out. Pay for it as a... thank you, for the cookie. If you wanted to be more aggressive, simply ask her out. Worst case senario, she says no, and it just chalks up an experience point.

Just try something new! be outgoing. She's OBVIOUSLY flirting with you. And your chances of her asking you are slim to none so be a man and ask her to dinner! duhhhhhhhhhh It's flattering to be asked out to dinner, and too many guys are chicken. So start off your day right and go ask her to dinner! I think you should use a smooth line like the others mentioned about paying her back for the cookie(s) GOOD LUCK!
