PinkToes Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 When you're going through a tough time, what do you want to hear from a girl? I know there are often gender differences in terms of space vs. needing to talk, or venting vs. problem solving. But if you're really struggling with life issues or some such, do you want to hear that we have confidence you'll work through it, or what? Thanks!
Khabarak Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Personally, I would want the support. I think some people (guys in general) feel they have to "tough it out" all alone, but personally I think that is in immature attitude. It is nice to know somebody cares enough about you to care what you're going through. Talking things out with somebody can be one of the most helpful ways to find a way through a problem -- any problem. That said, if someone tells you to drop it, I would recommend doing so even if it is only for the time being (wait a while before you ask again if you plan to...). If you try 3-4 times and all you ever get is a "drop it" type response, then it would probably be advisable to do just that because as you obviously know, some guys just aren't interested.
