I'll go first...

I love guys for their strength, and not just physical... like the way they DON'T get all emotional over every little thing... when they possess that certain "quiet strength".

Oh, and on another note... I love that sheepish grin they get when they first wake up and you just know what they are thinking about! ;)

sigh.. I want a boyfriend now! just as soon as I get over my ex once and for all... :(

  1. They smell hawt, fresh out of the shower!
  2. They're hard, where we're soft.
  3. They feel good to touch.
  4. They think differently. I like the solutions-oriented mentality.
  5. Overall, most men have a strong sense of direction, where I can't find my way out of a paper bag.
  6. Their physical strength, pure hawtness!
  7. Ability to fix and a desire to accomplish it.
  8. Testosterone!

And that's just for starters!

The soft centre of a tough looking man....when they catch you in a happy moment, and give you a warm-eyed smile. That's when they're at their most endearing, I think.

It's the shared intimacy and the trust in allowing you to see their softness, caring and warmth.

Broad shoulders and trim waist :p

Looking up at him while hugging/kissing

Feeling protected because he wants to make life less of a burden for you

Love and affection

Lack of drama

Morning wood. SOO entertaining! :lmao:

Okay, but really..

I like how they smell after a shower without cologne or deodorant.

I like when their pants aren't pulled up all the way and WON'T stay up (even with a belt) and you can see their boxers.

And I love men in hats! So hot.

Muscles.. the broad shoulders and trim waist mentioned above.

I love the way my H has absolutely no sense of direction whatsoever, even in the city he was born and raised in - it's very cute because in everything else he is so capable. I always end up navigating

It was a joke, settle down.

They have penis. They never let you down when you want some lol

They say women are like cats and men are like dogs. I love the way that basically no matter what happens, a guy who loves you is always eventually right back at you, panting and licking your face, wagging his tail, trying to move past the injuries and mistakes of the past and get on to more good times. That's an admirable quality, and one that I work on amplifying in myself. :)

Ooh theres nothing sexier than a strong man who is emotionally vulnerable. I just love when you can crack through a guys outer shell and hear the mush inside. And having a guy cook for me with no shirt on is sexy too  Oooh and I also like how guys don't have the drama like we women do. Its always just straight to the point, no bull crap involved. I could go on...

"men are like dogs"... and I happen to love dogs! :)

Great list to know what at least some women want in men.

I have several of these down really well, especially 5! I can give directions in my sleep. :)

Mainly I enjoy being so infatuated with someone I can't keep my eyes off them. I love becoming so aware of someone I can feel when they walk into a room or when they leave. I like how they smell...how secure they are with their bodies.

Posted

Exceptions to all of these, of course.

They tend to be practical when I need that. They feel so good to hug, and they love that women are soft to hug. They can open pickle jars. They are wash-and-wear and don't spend hours getting ready, and can go away for the weekend with only a toothbrush and hotel shampoo. They don't mind telling line jumpers at the blues club that they need to get in the back of the line. They put their hand on the small of your back when you are walking. They understand about locking lug nuts.

Maybe I have been extraordinarily lucky in my life, but nearly all of the men I know are great!

Their sweaty, musky smell, mingled with aftershave.

Their stubble

The mischievous little boy in every man (this is a double edged sword though)

Their desire to please you in bed

The way they feel emotions perhaps more rarely and therefore more purely than women

And yes, I agree TBF, the solutions oriented mentality, the pragmatic core

so true! I love that....

Ooo, ooo...count me in!

Their strength.

Their musky man smell. (and I don't mean stench...LOL)

Their arms.

The way they can melt their tough exterior when it's just me around.

How handy they are at fixing mechanical things. Wow. I'm being serious - this turns me on in a huge way.

Their awesome voices...rrrrrrrrr.

How they think they have to be bad-ass around their buddies. LOL

How their mind works so much different than a woman's.

OK...I think that's all for now. I'll probably come back and list more. :)

Totally agree. I know it's the female equivalent of a man loving his woman cooking for him (which I love to do, too :D), but when a man can fix my wagon, I swoon. One of my boyfriends was an aerospace engineer, the kind of guy who was taking radios apart and putting them back together when he was 4 years old. This man did so many amazing home improvement projects, and he went way beyond the norm. I mean, he would make blueprints and follow them down to the millimeter! It was so hot. And it was adorable, too, that he loved doing it and totally puffed up with pride when I went all gaga and praised him for it.

That's another thing I love -- when you give your man props and he just puffs up like the king of the world. It's sooooo cute and endearing.

Their hands

Their 5 o clock shadows/stubble

Their desire to touch and caress you at every opportunity

Their strength

Their deep voices

Their arms in times of comfort

Their cute little butts with the little hollows on the side!

Their adam's apples

Their height (usually)

Their sturdiness

Their laid-back-ness

Their desperate attempts to be "Mr. Fix It" around the house

Their competitiveness in the work place

I can go on for hours.

I don't really notice any qualities I love that can be applied to every man or even most men.

But to contribute, I know what things I love about the man I am with. Some of them are:

If there is task so overwhelming that you don't even know where to begin, he is the first to roll up his sleeves and find a place to start.

He doesn't need me to be less ANYTHING for him to feel more manly.

He trusts me to be capable of handling things alone, but doesn't make me feel bad when I can't and ask for his help.

He has the the hottest ornery grin.

He doesn't take himself too seriously and can laugh at himself.

He is more romantic than I am.

We recently had an old friend of his visit us. Someone he has known for 10 years longer than he has known me. The guy was out-right rude to me while my partner was out picking up food we ordered. He came home to find me telling the guy he had to get out of my home. The guy was ignoring my request and turned to my partner who he expected to put "bros before hos" and allow him to stay. My partner told him he was out of line, that he was embarrassed to have ever called him a friend, and that he should leave quickly and quietly "or the lady will kill you". He had yet to learn why I was upset but it didn't matter to him, the guy had to go.

He rocks!
