We seemed to really hit it off, exchanging emails, chatting, phone converstations, sharing photos(pretty much a life history). We even made plans to meet up some time in April. On 03/25 his subscription to the date site expired. Then the next day we talked on the phone, he told me not to worry if I didn't hear from him for a little bit, because his electricity was being shut off, due to not paying it all winter. I guess where he lives electric can't be shut off in the winter months if its your heat source. He said he woulnd't get a pay check until next Friday, so he would be staying with a friend until it is turned back on. I asked him if he was still interested in getting together, he said yes. I feel so anxious, I really enjoyed our chats, and am worried he may have changed his mind and didn't have the heart to say so. I want to call him, but don't want him to think I didn't believe him if it was true. Does this sound like a blow off?

He gave you advanced warning he might be off the grid for a bit. Give it a few days. I'd be a little wary of someone who doesn't pay his electric bill.

Not paying for his power for a whole winter and having it shut off has got to be one of the biggest red flags.. Any particular reason you don't feel not paying his rent/light/heat as being a bad thing ?
