alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 are a computer, a cell phone and a telly... Don't know anyone in chicago besides me bro & his old lady and they're busy most of the time. Not dating anyone. This sucks trying to create a social network from ground zero. Only work is keeping me from going insane, that and LS and the UK forum i post on. Well at least the telly is HD
Art_Critic Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Are you back on match?.. You'll get your networked re-weaved before long...it can't be easy re-locating and giving up all your friends and some of your family.. Do you visit your Dad.. maybe it's time for a Detroit run..
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Are you back on match?.. **** no, i'm not wasting my $$ on that bull**** Do you visit your Dad.. maybe it's time for a Detroit run.. i going to detroit this Sat for 3 or 4 nites
Art_Critic Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 i going to detroit this Sat for 3 or 4 nites Cool... sounds just what the Dr ordered...
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 there is so much **** to do in chicago but its moot if you don't have anyone to do the **** with
amaysngrace Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Why don't guys just go ask a girl out anymore? Is it because they are always on their phones?
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Why don't guys just go ask a girl out anymore? oh i've been dating, just haven't met anyone special that i would like to spend more time with. i'm at that stage where i'd rather be by myself than waste my time with a chick i don't jive with there was one chick i sorta liked but i don't think she felt teh same
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 oh well it could be worse at least i have a job and my brother here basically i'm just cranky cause i'm not gettin' laid
amaysngrace Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 That doesn't answer my question really. But I'm glad you figured yourself out.
amaysngrace Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Alpha be glad you get along well with your brother. My sisters both hate me. The other one is dead. And I've pretty much alienated most of the people who have ever tried to get close to me my whole life because I don't like it when people get close to me. So I don't really have friends. At least you are going home for three or four days and seeing friends this weekend. At least you have friends to go home to. There...feel better now?
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 There...feel better now? yes, a bit
Citizen Erased Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Go meet up with b4r. If only I was in Chicago... Anything good on tv alpha?
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Go meet up with b4r. i'd have to be real desparate for that Anything good on tv alpha? no...i'm watching some show on cnn about the mexican violence
Citizen Erased Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 i'd have to be real desparate for that I don't know...I'm fairly certain you would go places you never knew existed, would never visit unless you were absolutely s**t-faced and will spend the rest of your life trying to forget. Fun. no...i'm watching some show on cnn about the mexican violence Sounds dull. Isn't there some American "sport" crapola on at least?
lord alfred douglas Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Go meet up with b4r. If only I was in Chicago... Id hang out but I live two hours away from where Alpha is. Hes right downtown and I live way down south in the country
Author alphamale Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Id hang out but I live two hours away from where Alpha is. Hes right downtown and I live way down south in the country phew thank god
D-Lish Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I have the same friend group that you do at the moment. It's pretty sad when I'm sitting at home Friday night watching a "murder she wrote marathon". I don't know anyone in the small little town I'm in at the moment. That's why I am excited to be moving soon.
griffy Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 My suggestion is to do what I did--get rid of your TV. I am SO glad I did. I am much more productive without one. You will be forced to get out of the house and meet people, and you can always talk about your lack of TV with new people. They'll think you're quirky! I wasn't going to have internet at home either (I have it at work), but I pick up a signal. Almost wish I didn't... We rely too much on "things" and people to cure our boredom/loneliness when we should be relying on ourselves.
hotgurl Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 aaawww I'll be in Chicago this July. I am originally from there. Why don't you join a club or group? meet some new people.
quankanne Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 well, alpha, I've got a sweet little tía up there who is in her 80's that might be a hoot to hang out with. According to another aunt (her "baby" sister), my tia is a ball of energy who runs circles around people!
