One for the guys: what do you think the first time you see a woman naked?

Yeah, perhaps he thinks the women in ads and magazine just have naturally cellulite free legs and haven't been airbrushed into plastic smoothness.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

No by his estimation only Asian women are perfect specimens without the ugly specter of cellulite no matter what their age. Naturally, if they are not American, cellulite isn't even a translateable term in Asian countries.

No wonder the cosmetic industry and celluliate blasters are a multi-billion dollar industry. Funny you don't see age and liver spots eraser cremes for men , but then shockingly a lot of women seem to look past a lot of men's odiously disgusting physical flaws.

Men do the same thing, obviously. It's just that here I'm being upfront about it whereas if I'm with a woman with a saggy ass or whatever I have to pretend it's not there or SHE will freak out, like a lot of women on this thread are doing.

You know ..... this explains a lot of why my wife has a tendency to get upset when I try to airbrush her before sex.

Seriously .... I've been with a lot of ladies in my approaching a half century of life .... large, small, slim, heavy, tall, short ..... I could go on.

Each one was as unique as a snowflake.

But I must say that it was the ones that could hold the most intelligent conversations that I remember best. Not the best body, or attribute, or money, or whatever ... but the most interesting.

Looks fade over time. Even plastic surgery will not get rid of all the mileage, but interesting lasts forever.

And that overshadowed all else and drew me to my wife. She was Damn interesting and still is.

I don't watch ... whatever it is this woman is famous for, but she doesn't look to be in top shape, although she is pretty.

She's in "Heroes". You know, the famous TV show that's won tons of awards in the 3 years it's been on? Heck, google it. Anyhow.....

Hayden Panettiere sure is out of shape! :lmao:

Just look at her!

If that's "not in top shape" then me and every single one of my hot skinny in-shape gf's is a fat disgusting slag! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Ah, I've seen it advertised, never watched it. Looked like an evening soap opera for teenagers and adults who never grew up.

Honestly in that photo she looks a little out of shape. Thin is not the same as fit. Her calves look small and thighs are big, little soft in the tummy. She's quite attractive but I would not say she's in top shape physically. I'd imagine she's a very talented actress maybe?

The other pic you linked she looked a lot trimmer but still big thighs. She's a cute girl though.

I don't understand your point, I already said that just because obvious cellulite is gross doesn't make it a deal breaker, I've nailed plenty of chicks with a little cellulite on them. I imagine my wife will have some eventually.

Seems like an illogical leap there but up to you.

Hayden Panettiere for example.

She's 20. I've seen three different "Fittest Bodies in Hollywood" articles, and all of them had her on the cover.

An official photoshoot. Shiny, perfect, slim.....

hayden-panettiere01.jpg

A candid bikini shot. Okay, not as shiny plastic-perfect as the magazine shot, but still pretty good, huh?

hayden-panettiere-bikini-entrada.jpg

SHE HAS CELLULITE!

hayden-panettiere-cellulite.jpg

She's 20, thin, in shape(she hits the gym with Kristen Bell all the time!) and many men would say she doesn't have any at all. She does, and it isn't a flaw, it's just how lady-fat IS. Some people have MORE of it, more visibly, but that has nothing to do with in-shape or not. Hell, look at Mischa Barton. For whatever genetic reason, despite her thin in-shapeness, her cellulite is INSANELY visible.

Here's young Victoria Secret model, Karolina Kurkova, age 25.

Professional photoshoot.

HER BUM!

061008-cellulite-on-victorias-secre.jpg

Nothing wrong with it. Especially considering she's about 15 lbs lighter than is healthy anyway. :(

I'm pretty sure it's the other way around: the pics in the fashion magazines are their natural look, and in the other pics the cellulite is simluated/aitbrushed on by the people-hating yellow press.

Seems as likely as any other explanation, and it would sell magazines to angry chubby women. I've dated women that had some cellulite but they were pretty damn fat really. Any of the leaner gals honestly just don't have a cellulite issue in my experience.

So sue me.

Hey, I never said it was a GOOD show.

Stop trying to sound so sophisticated, it's not working.

Maybe that's just her natural shape? Women need to have at least 22% body fat to even ovulate. And a healthy body fat percentage for an adult woman is between 25% and 28%. She does work out regularly and is held up as having one of the fittest bodies in Hollywood.

Seems like an illogical leap there but up to you.

I'm just pointing out that if you consider Hayden Panettiere and Karolina Kurkova "out of shape", that your standards are stupidly high.

Yeah, smooth plastic skin is completely natural and normal.

I said not in top shape, top shape being a person who is active in athletic pursuits. That Rigdon woman, whatever her name is, would be an example of top shape. This actress obviously takes care of herself.

Show me that fact. All anyone has shown so far is that 90% have it at some point in their lives which is not that same thing. Maybe it's because I tend to prefer younger and generally darker women? All I know for sure is that cottage cheese ass is gross.

You've been shown lots of facts. You rather deny them then look at the reality. And you rather take cheap shots at women. (IE your comment above). I just feel very badly for your wife that will have to live up to your impossible ideals about what you think a woman should be and what women really are. Which is human. And not deserving of your critical and swarmy comments. I never once heard you mention anything you had to offer a woman other then money. But I sure have heard you go on and on about what a woman should gvie you. Again, I feel sorry for your future wife. I suspect after a few years of this treatment, she will be ready to hit the road.

I'm not understanding you. Either I'm simply ignorant of what you're trying to say, or it's a male/female perspective thing.

But yeah we'll just have to agree to disagree. My opinion is that

For what its worth, Die Hard, I 'got' your very well made point on the subject of WHEN the 'flaws' are noticed, but that they are still noticed and judged regardless, waaay back in the posts. I thought you did a great job with the explanation. Well done.

Posted
Well that is exactly my point. You tolerate certain parts of her body because you think she is a good person. (I never said men think their partner's are ugly bishes). That's exactly what my post said and your first line was "men don't think like that" but went on to show me they do. Women don't measure up to the kind of women men really want, flawless looking women. Then we are the ones that get "tolerated" for our "flaws" instead of celebrated. Meanwhile alot of men will turn around and drool or give positive comments to a women they don't even know, about their looks, way before they do so for their own girlfriends and wives. So when a man says stuff like " I look *past* her cellulite because I love her", is he really looking past it? Or is he judging her for it because his perception of what a woman's body should be is unrealistic and thinking he is "settling" while he dreams about airbrushed women in magazines? Do you have any idea how it feels to watch men's eyes light up and comment and get excited about a hot girl they see on the street or in a picture and then turn around and tell their SO they "tolerate" their imperfectoins because they are a "good person". It's better to be the fantasy woman then the real one.

Clv, try reading the facts. I could care less about what you do or don't do. Fact: 90% or women have it after puberty. Fact. Not fiction. Being over weight can make it more apparent. But women, are naturally more fatty then men. Again, fact. Not fiction. Any doctor will tell you this. You want to try and fight it all you want. But every else here can read the facts while you live in your bubble and negative thoughts about women.

Lol...no no no no no Jersey Shortie. By no means am I judging my GF because she has some cellulite under her beautiful ass. Nor am I tolerating it. To put it simply, if a guy loves his GF or SO, or really cares for her, cellulite isn't going to stop him from feeling less attracted to her. He just won't give a **** about her cellulite. There's no "okay I'll deal with it siiiiiigh" or judging involved. We just don't give a **** if you've got a little bit of cellulite. Really its as small to me as a pimple every now and then. If I'm less attracted to my GF because of cellulite what am I going to say when I wake up in the morning and smell her period blood? Or see it? **** like that doesn't phase me with my GF. I don't mind at all. Now, let's not take **** to the extreme though. If my GF has a cottage cheese ass, so to speak, I will make a comment about maybe coming to the gym with me, or watching what she eats. I won't dump her, or judge her, but I'd try to help her get in shape.

You've been shown lots of facts.

I've been shown a couple 20 something celebrity photos and a Wikipedia article. That article clearly stated that 90% (not 100%) of women develop cellulite "sometime in their life" (not by age 12) so in fact all the "evidence" presented so far has shown the assertion that "all women over 12 have cellulite" to be probably false.

So yes, I've been shown 'lots' of facts, just not any that supported your statement.

If you are over the age of 12, you got cellulite.

That's just not true.

Having said all that, when a guy says "cellulite is nasty" I suspect it's in the same sense that "fat is nasty" or "body odor is nasty", in that sure, all or most viable humans are going to have some, but an obvious or overabundant amount is very unattractive. Nasty actually.

If my GF has a cottage cheese ass, so to speak, I will make a comment about maybe coming to the gym with me, or watching what she eats. I won't dump her, or judge her, but I'd try to help her get in shape.

And there it is.

Well, okay, I guess I understand a little better. I sitll think there are alot of guys that do see it the way I expressed. It's just kind of sucky to see guys say stuff like they tolerate it and then turn around and are looking at airbrushed women and getting all excited over them.

Okay, I undestand that but how would you feel if she wanted to encourage to make more money? Like she made comments about going to "how to make" money seminars or whatever. Maybe you made more money in the begining of the relationship. Maybe you make the same amount and she wants to see progression. How would you feel about that?

I would feel like she's committed to me and our relationship, and I'd appreciate the positive reinforcement. If she was willing to help me achieve more it would be particularly endearing.

This is such a softball. Only under very unfortunate circumstances would a guy begin to make LESS money over time. Most guys make more and more money over time. The unfortunate event of a job loss is almos always beyond one's control, and every self-respecting guy would start looking for alternatives *immediately*.

On the other hand, getting fat is *entirely* within a person's control. So, do I have to spell out the rest of this ?

Definitely. As long as we bond through it and its a team effort I have no problem with it.

Yes, only a bitch would nag about it, while a supportive woman would be - well - supportive and empower her guy to be kicking even more ass than before.

So, how is being supportive and encouraging excercise and getting back in shape is any more ill-intended than this?

Posted

You know what Sam, not one woman here refered to a man in a nasty name. Do you think you can control yourself enough to do the same? Or does it make you feel too good to say "bitch" to make a point?

I suspect that there are men who wouldn't be too happy with a wife conjoling her husband to make more money. And I would never want to make my guy feel bad about the money he brings home or lack of.

I would feel like it's time to end the relationship and find someone less materialistic. There's no sense in staying with someone who thinks like this.

And before you say it, yes, a woman should do likewise if her bf is nagging her about her weight. Lead by example, perhaps, and if she is not taking steps to improve her health, then again, maybe she is not the one for you. Maybe he is not the right on for her.
