SophieA Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I think I have finally made peace with the fact that in 5 short weeks B is leaving. I have had 5 amazing years with him and it is now time for me to let him go, as cheesy as this sounds, "spread his wings." I am so proud of him for going after his dreams. I am so proud of him for getting into medical school!! I have supported him, struggled with him, cheered him on, and been a loving girlfriend to him for 5 years and it's now time to trust that our relationship is strong enough to survive this test. We have been through so much together in these 5 years. Why should I fear that a 20 month separation will do us in? I'm not going to live in fear anymore.
