motive2002 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Ditched again. I guess on the bright side I wasn't completely stood up. When I heard the excuse my BS-o-meter went off immediately. I swear it's like a sixth sense. I can smell BS from miles away. My ex-girlfriend set it off all the time, but for some reason I bought into all of it.. I guess for sake of not wanting to call her on it and have her get pissed and walk away. What can I say I was really obsessed with that one. I wish I was oblivious to BS, but I'm not. It makes me angry. I was looking forward to this date all week and now I'm blown off AND I know she was lying about why she had to cancel, which makes me twice as pissed. I need a beer.
Lindarose84 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Sorry to hear about that. I'm sure it's a bad feeling being stood up. Mind sharing what her BS excuse was? It would help out others with rather weak BS-o-meters to know what to listen for

Lizzie60 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I have an extremely good BS-o-meter... I can feel BSers for miles away... even on here.. on LS.. when people are BSing.. I know it.. When people put too much emphasis on an aspect of their life.. most of the time, it's BS... when they are constantly saying 'oh my H loves me sooo much.. blablabla'... or ... 'I got a huge rock, blablabla'... or 'I will never ever cheat'.. or 'I know my H/bf has never ever cheated'..
sumdude Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Having been married to a compulsive liar my meter has become over sensitive:rolleyes:
colosseum Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Having been married to a compulsive liar my meter has become over sensitive:rolleyes: Ouch, sorry to hear that...though better that having no BS-o-meter at all?
sumdude Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Ouch, sorry to hear that...though better that having no BS-o-meter at all? LOL after ignoring it for years.. all those alarms going off.. the bleeping, buzzing and flashing warning lights you would think I'd finally start paying attention.
