I got a look at this matchmaker's website

(URL to commercial site removed by moderator)

On the links to the left where it says "My Girls" and and "My Guys" the girls...."no fees"

Guys...of course, there is a fee....and from what I hear, having a professional matchmaker can cost one if not hundreds but in the thousands.

Why does this double standard exist? Plus, isn't she shorting herself as a business woman, why not charge at least something to these women?

It's bait and hook my friend.

It's a known fact that men face more difficulties and competition in the dating game than women.

LOL.....gee, and you begrudge ME for posting the said difficulties that I've described in my other post. How ironic.

If only I could have a sea of drooling women at my feet from posting some skanky pictures on the net.

Find better ways to court your women, Bells. They have a lot more options to choose from than you think. Like why would she go through all that trouble driving herself to wherever the location is then have to go through a massive crowd of people to look for you (lol!!!:lmao:), while there's this other gentleman who doesn't mind driving to pick her up, perhaps with a bouquet of some nice flowers for her? Some men know their game, you clearly don't.

This is true for most personalized matchmaking services.

Men are also more likely to pay for something like this.

You dont see websites full of mail order grooms, or male brothels, etc.

Bells, the more posts I read, the more I wonder what on earth it is you do when you ask women out! I mean, of course some women are flaky, etc, and the dating game can be pretty dodgy for both genders sometimes, so I am not saying it is all you but still....perhaps there is something really findamentally straightforward that you're doing wrong that is affecting your game at the moment...?

Because most dating sites, the dating realm and even the nightlife realm is all geared towards women.

Women still carry the attitude that they can be perfectly happy alone or they have a lot of pride in themselves that they don't need men as much as men clearly show how much they need and want women. You notice this mostly in how many women carry the "you go girl" mentality as well as how many men join dating sites over women.

Even in the nightlife realm...as a close similarity...bars and clubs mostly market themselves around women. They go all out with the one goal to get women out, because men show up then. How many guys would go to a sausagefest? Look how many places let women in for free, let them into VIP areas without buying anything, and even give them other perks.

That site knows that plenty of men will quickly sign up, but women won't...so they need to do anything they can to get women to join. It's even why I speak out about how the online dating industry needs to do more not only to get more normal women to join (many of the types who never seem to) as well as push to make them feel safe from all the weirdoes who drive them off the sites.

It's a trade. They get a lot of the social world worshiping the ground they walk on, and we men don't have to stay perfectly thin, we don't have to wear uncomfortable high heel shoes, and we don't have periods.

It's simple economics.

The websites, clubs, etc need the women or there will be no one for the men to date. If the women are not willing to pay, then they have to offer it for free. If they find that women are willing to pay for their services, then they will begin charging.

It's not about double standards, it's about capitalism.

BTW, I know a girl who did one of these "high end " services and she did, indeed, have to pay. Quite a bit.

And was it worth it for your friend? I understand some of those cost $1k+ but I dont know anyone personally who has done it (or at least admitted to it).

Hmmm. aren't there stats about more men engaging in extra-marital activity then women?

Ok, I'm just joking around with the economics logic here but, let's do the math:

all those maried men engaging in extramarital affairs are contributing to the scarcity of women on the market.

Therefore, if we want the dating market to be equitable, we need to convince philanderers to stop philandering. That way, the ratios of male to females looking for action will be equal.

:p
