Hello LS, here is my story and I could really use your insight

Ok so I just starting dating this girl for a few weeks. She is everything ive been looking for in a girl and shes totally into me. There is just one problem though. She has a best friend whos in the marines whos shes planning on marrying sometime next year for the sake of helping her out. Found this out last week.

To make a long story short, she doesnt come from a really great family and shes living on her own to get away from it. Hence why shes doing this so she can get a place of her own and other benefits. Then divorce after a year.

Shes pretty open about it as I hear her talking to him/talks in the same room about it on the fone when I am there. There is no lovey dovey talk at all they keep it simple and friendly

Though even for the sole purpose of that guy being her buddy ever since she was young and helping her out, I cant help but feel bothered by it, eventhough she tells me she still wants to see me............What do you think is best for me?

Well, what she is doing is illegal...

If he has a relationship, sexual, with someone else he can get arrested...

I feel bad for her plight, but she should consider something else to fix her problems, and then also your concerns will be fixed.

Stay away from this woman! How can you possibly trust her? How do you know she won't try to scam you like you plans on scamming the government?

She's an idiot and your an idiot if you ever get involved with her, dont give me that following your heart crap, because if you everyone followed their heart off a bridge would you go as well??? dont be stupid!!! Also the guy from the marines could be in serious trouble as well if this all gets out.

I feel ya on that..Always thought she should think of something else to fix her problems. But shes already told her fam and everything. I just hate this..whenever I seem like I find something good, SOMETHING always gets in the way and it sucks and hurts bad. I never win. And im not a bad dude at all, I wanna make a girl happy.

Im just gonna have to break it to her soon. I usually feel odd hanging out/talking to her for a few hours after shes off the fone with him since I hear it all.

Dude she's marrying another dude for just wanting to run away from her family???

WTF? and she's dating you, but gonnna be married to someone else? WTF how do you turn that over in your head rationally?

I'm dating a girl who agreed to marry her best friend, just to get away from her family?

Say it again over and over. Do you see how much she's mentally messed up???

Run away from this woman, she does not have your best interests at heart!!!

you can find someone else, this will be a bump in the road for you.

I sure as hell wouldn't want to be anywhere near ground zero - this is a ticking time bomb. They both could get in very serious trouble if anybody finds out what's going on. Good job - run like hell.

She is going to get married to her childhood friend for finacial benefits right?

They are friends only and you are 100% of that?

I feel that your only concerns here are;

1. The marine is not secretly in love with her

2. She is so completely selfish or desperate she will manipulate anything/anyone for her personal benefit.

I would proceed with caution with this one.

just bang her as many as you can and get the hell out when you find someone.
