Someone actually came up and asked him "if he was hitting that." ... He told me later that she has made a comment about how nice it is to have someone at home worrying about them... It sounds to me like he is screaming for your attention, in the best way he knows how - to make you jealous. Has he always required a lot of "stroking" as another poster put it, being a law man / goes with the territory and all? Maybe you haven't been "stroking" him enough lately? I have no idea, I'm just guessing. But just the fact that he would say those things to you, is a big red flag screaming "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!" If he was actually sleeping with her, he would be denying EVERYTHING, and he certainly wouldn't be (deliberately??) letting you hear the tail-end of their conversations. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
