My boyfriend and I have been together for nine months now. He has been divorced twice, both times his wifes left him. He seems to have a problem with communication and sharing emotions etc.

I'm just the opposite, I want to communicate, I want to discuss things that bother me or that I feel are a problem in our relationship. When I do this I am being told that I want drama, argue, etc. This generally leads to hurt feelings, tears etc on my part which makes him even madder.

Any suggestions? Do I compromise what I feel a relationship should be?

I love this man immensely, more than anyone that I have ever had in my life.

FYI. I was married for 17 years and was never happy, nor was I truly in love with him.

Help.

If you are not in sync about the importance of communication, you'll not do well together. You could try seeing a counsellor with him - if he'll agree. If not, I doubt there's much you can do.
