sorry for the tardy reply, i was muy deprivado of sleep and had to catch some mad ZZZs. but i got to say, you are fixating on the wrong things here. for instance, i get a good amount of interest from the fairer sex. is it because i’m capt. studmuffin? of course not, i don’t even own a boat. in fact, i’m somewhat like i imagine you to be. most of the time i don’t want to be bothered and have “**** off” proverbially plastered across my forehead. but i am actually a good guy, and every so often i do something nice and considerate for my fellow human being which makes some people fail to notice that particular signal. that said, you need to drop this fatalistic bull****. you’re basically hoping to ask out someone you just met. have you ever asked yourself what you would even talk to her about? i mean, what you are basically saying to this girl is, “hi. i think you’re hot and would very much like to **** you.” girls find that to be a real turn-on, by the way. and besides, it just reeks of desperation. personally, i like to have a rapport with a girl before considering a relationship. and if you are just generally feeling down, you know what always cheers me up? rocking out with ms. kelly clarkson. works every time. so go hang out with your friends, make some dough, indulge in your hobbies, and if that fails, learn to play the guitar (guitars pull so much tail, i **** you not). but realize that your main objective in life ought to be living it, not scoring dates.

reduced hostility from the local culture

In most of these situations that I've mentioned, yes, that is true. What's the alternative, though? Give up on all such situations and lose any chance at meeting them?

It's nothing that crazy really. Unless one is in a specialized sort of situation wherein one is likely to see someone again by something other than chance (some people view things like schools and sports teams in this fashion; similar things could include small-town locations wherein the same people show up repeatedly, or if one has personal off-time interests that are demographically favorable, such hobby meetups), all there is is that one shot upon having just met. Otherwise they and/or oneself is gone upon leaving the area.

Are you honestly stating that no one in the world has ever had enjoyable sex with an attractive stranger, and that things such as flings do not exist and have never existed?

I definitely agree. That's why I asked how to learn to identify what I did right; that way, I'd be able to tell what resulted from actual skill on my part and what was the result of luck. I hate fatalistic stuff myself.

personally, i like to have a rapport with a girl before considering a relationship.

Sure. But if they don't talk at all or respond to one in any fashion, I doubt that one will be having much of any rapport on any level, and no relationship of any kind is likely.

I'm quite aware of that; dating doesn't take an abnormally high priority in my life. I just ask advice on it because I'm apparently that unbelievably bad at it that it seems even the most basic things have gone horrifically wrong. (That doesn't do good things to one's morale!)

You mentioned guitars, and another poster mentioned singing. Is it the case that music-interested women are friendlier than those in the general population? (I've never done any guitar stuff.)

More importantly though, how would I learn to identify what part of such experiences resulted from improved skill as opposed to luck?

Why is there such a negative stigma surrounding being short? Short men are very very sexy!! I think tall men are so gross.
