Maggs Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Hi everyone-- If anyone remembered, I went away in December for 3 months to live with my LD boyfriend. He lives in the UK and we'd spent all last year apart and wanted to spend a few months together. While I was there, we celebrated our 2 year anniversary together too We had a fantastic time! Can't believe how fast the time went, I feel like I just left. He works away from home, and the last 10 days before I left, he was home for a bit. We went away for a few days together. Up into the Highlands of Scotland and..... He proposed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny: I'm SOOOOO happy! We both are So I'm back in my home country and we'll spend the next year in LD, apart from him coming to visit a few times. And I'll be sorting things out here, planning and saving for our wedding, etc. Which will be sometime in 2010. Probably May-July'ish. I've never been happier! Can't wait to move over there and spend the rest of our lives together. :bunny:
Rollercoasterr Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 This is just the ladies of loveshack's year. I'm so excited for you!!! Shoo, now I feel better that another LDR person got proposed to so now I'll have someone to gripe to when my fiance is being a little poohead about the wedding/visa stuff. Whoohoo! Really. I'm so excited for you I could pee. But I wont. I'll contain myself. :bunny:

Author Maggs Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 Thanks everyone! I'm over the moon!! Finally, an end to the long distance is in sight. Still over a year away--but it somehow makes it more bearable. Rollercoasterr--I did remember you getting engaged recently too! Congrats again. When do you plan to get married? I'll be the one doing most of the planning no doubt and it'll be me who gets on the visa and moves to the UK. But that's ok, it really doesn't bother me. I lived there for 2 yrs already and really like it there.
