Heartbreak2 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Well, I had this MAJOR Thing for the Temp UPS worker that Fills in For My Reguar Driver when he is Off and as for my Luck He is usually Off ALOT. lol Well is been Over a Year and I finally Grew The Guts to do something about it. It was about 2 weeks ago & and It was his last day before my regular Driver came back. Well I took my Number and i posted it in one of the boxes that where being shipped. Mind you I HAVE NEVER I MEAN EVER done that before. Well, he came back and posted his number on my Computer screen while i was away, doing something else. Right before i Leave i tell one of my co-worker what had happened and he told me how "He was suppose to have been given me his number, because he was always asking for me, and didn't make a move on me before because he didn't think i was single and that he wanted to take me out to eat or what ever" Well 4 Days Go by and he text me saying " We needed to go out to get something to eat real soon" i responded saying " yes we needed too" a few other things where said but i didn't really continue the convo since i knew he was working..and he really didn't seem to be very into it. I thought that maybe that night he was going to call since the convo was left in the air HE DIDN'T. Well a few days later i Change my Cell Number I text him sayin " Hey this is my new number blablabh" and all he responds with is with an OK. Is been 3 weeks and i haven't hurd from him yet. I have been taking different routs to work and my regular duties just to avoid Bumping into him, but is becoming a pain! i am always late for work, or is just twice the work to get where ever i am going lol So my question to you guys out hear is How should i act? Acknowledge him and smile? Or Act as if i didn't see him and keep it moving? Knowing me i will prob act like i didn't see him Lol But what would you Do? May i ad i have been out of the dating game for almost a decade i am 22 years old with a 2 year old So really i am rusty at this and don't really know how it works anymore..

He's most likely going to feel more awkward about it than you will, as he flaked on you. Oh, and you're 22 and haven't dated in a decade? So your last serious relationship was when you were 12? And did the kid just show up one day or what?

God that must be awkward I say just ask him if hes still interested what do you have to lose at this point? My guess is he will say no and at least its a done deal and you can move on with out wondering what happened or what if.... The ignoring thing may have him feeling weird lets ask the guys whats the census on that guys? girls playing hard to get acting like there overly not interested just wondering?

Thanks if it wouldn't have been for him telling my co worker he liked me i would have probably ever spoken to another MALE in my life lol . I will defiantly not be giving out my number anytime soon he scared me for life lol

I've been in your situation in the past and I acted normal - I figured he wasn't into me but we could still be friends. No skin off my back. To my surprise the guy did eventually ask me out. Turns out I don't think we have much in common.

Just say "hi," but go about your business like there never was anything going on. Treat him like the regular driver. If you keep avoiding him, it looks like the whole thing REALLY bothered you, but why should it? It was simple texting back and forth - time to move on.
