Hormones. Male's levels of Testosterone and Female's levels of Estrogen. Does any female out there love an overly sensitive guy (Bedazzled's Sensitive guy scene comes to mind, poems, painting, crying at the sunset) ? Probably not. For the most part a female wants a partner, male to be exact, who will act like a male, do male like things, be a "man".

For these same reasons is why most males do not appreciate a female who gets around. They do not want a female who acts like a male. A male wants a female who will act like a female, court him like a female, only have sex with him because in a sense, he's her alpha male. In the animal kingdom most female mammals do not mate with every male in the pack or habitat. They mate once or several times with the alpha male, or the male who catches her eye the most. After that its a done deal until next mating season.

Hormones are the reason why both genders have different sex drives. Sure it varies from person to person, but its safe to say that overall guys need, want, lust for, crave, fiend for, and whatever else you want to say, sex. It is programmed within males biologically, and it is their chemical makeup to have a high sex drive for the simple fact of procreation. They will never shun a fellow male for having sex with multiple females if he's single and isn't doing anyone harm because that's what nature's intention for males is. To procreate. A male sees a female that's attractive, automatically without any sort of brain effort or energy he sees himself having sex with her, he wants sex with her, he wants to get in there and stir that pudding up.

Now for females its quite different. They're here to procreate as well, but through picking the best fit male to settle down with, and nest, and build a family with. Just like males it is programmed within females through nature. In some cases you will hear about a female having multiple male partners, and most of the time, that female is even looked down upon by fellow females, because it isn't normal for a female to display such behavior. There is something wrong in that picture. Just like any male would look down upon or make fun of an overly sensitive guy, it isn't normal, there's something wrong.

Gender equality is nice, and I support it but wanting equality on certain aspects of life where there are clear differences is reaching for a bit much. As a female, you will always be looked down upon by a majority of the population for being highly active in the sex scene. You can't push for equality in certain areas where nature sets the genders apart by chemical balance and hormones. It just won't happen. Same thing with males physically being stronger than females, its biological, hormones and chemicals, there's nothing you can do about it. March on the White House, blow up a player's car, nothing will change that. Sex is also physical, and its the same reason guys will forever be wary of a sexually promiscuous female, it isn't in the norm. Its not about fear or not being able to compete, it just isn't appealing to most males and females. And when something you're doing isn't widely accepted by your own gender, it speaks volumes.

Criticism be it crucial, harsh, soft, annoying, all kinds are welcome. I want to know what everyone thinks.

I also wanted to add that males are thinking or have thought of sexual things with your attractive family members as well. You have a hot sister? Your BF most certainly has thought of pounding her. Your mom? Sure. Grandma? Hey if she looks good his mind has been there. All biology.

A largely significant part of it is also socialization and what society has drummed into our heads for ages. Promiscuous women were never the norm. Women have been raised since the beginning of time to keep their legs closed. Where that idea of chastity stemmed from, I don't know.

Women= male property until somewhat recent times and nobody wants someone else trespassing on their property.

im not so sure about that. i agree i want a man who is not like you sai uber emotional but at the same time my girlfriens and i are not that emotinal. men and women have more incommon then not. as well we dont look down on eachother bc we all had multiple partners. and the guys i date really dont care the past is the past. and not to mention for guys to have sex [ straight not gay sex] it has to be with a girl! so if no girls ha other partners you would be SOL, lol. and its not true about women not having a high sex drive. I have a higher sex drive than most bfs and the others we were equal. so maybe my freinds and i are out of the norm but we have never been calle sluts and we have never been dumped bc of our past sex lives.

Sure. Rape also used to be a normal form of mating. Things change, humans must move away from their animal instincts and adapt. I have no problem with women dating several men at once including me. Please don't use ancient examples of our species to justify your judgments of liberated women. Men can be sensitive in this new world and women don't need to cower for protection from their "alpha male", please stop propagating these backward ideas, LET US MOVE FORWARD AS A SPECIES.

What did you say?

I tend to agree with Manugeorge. The biggest difference between male and female sexuality is training.

We train girls that "good girls don't" and if they do, they better not enjoy it. We train boys the same thing, and any women who don't fit the mold are "sluts" and should be shunned. All of that is, of course, codswallop, but it is the overriding message. I think we're slowly growing out of that nonsense, slowly, but IMO the idea that men and women are naturally, biologically, bipolar opposites in sexual desire is pure bunk.

Your science teacher would be quite proud of you. You give the text book answer to human beings and their mating habits.

Sorry but I think your theory is full of BS. Animals go on instinct but humans have a brain and you can think the way you respond to situations. If humans are so programmed by nature why do we get married and settle in a monogamous relationship? We should just get sexy once or twice a year and mate with any female that allows us. If we have evolved to be this way then why do you still believe the answer to human nature lies with the animal kingdom? Has the animal kingdom changed its mating habits? Even animals don't just hunt males/females for sex 24/7 but I know many humans who do.

I would think that humans with their superior brain size would be able to move beyond their animal impulses. And that's MY opinion.
