Explorer Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Been dating this chic for about 3 weeks and we've hit it off wonderfuly. Only prob: she won't have sex with me. Actually nothing intimate other than kissing. Both late 20's btw. I'm starting to feel like a jerk by continusously pursuing this and getting shut-down. But then again, isn't romance a huge part of the relationship? She's more traditional/conservative in her core beliefs of having sex while I'm more of the liberal. What do you'll think? Is 3 weeks too early or late? What's the average dating time that sex should be allowed?
manugeorge Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 She's conservative/traditional and you're liberal, how do you think that is going to play out? You are asking her to change her core beliefs over a guy she's only been dating for 3 weeks?
Author Explorer Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 She's conservative/traditional and you're liberal, how do you think that is going to play out? I'm not liberal in all aspects of life. Actually, in the majority, I'm probably more conservative also.
JohnnyBlaze Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Three weeks isn't long, especially for a girl who is entering into a relationship for more than just getting laid. If she's looking for something casual, I find that anywhere between 2-4 weeks seems to be the average. If she's looking for something more serious, 3-6 seems to be more common (in my experience, anyway). Like a lot of other things in life, it depends on the girl in question. You just have to read her and gauge your (re)actions accordingly.
