gopher Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Thought I would start a thread about interesting self improvement books. I just finished a couple good books... Mastery by George Leonard The Near Earth by Eckhart Tolle... I just picked up A Man's Journey to Self Abundance... I look forward to seeing what others are reading or have read...
sunshinegirl Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I can't get into Eckhard Tolle. I got half-way through one of his popular titles last summer but I got bored with it. What were your main take-aways from the Near Earth?
Geishawhelk Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 (And please......nobody mention The F*&@~#%!& Secret, or the Law of ?:#}=$"@ Attraction!!!) Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now" was the original and best. That, I would recommend. The later book - re-hash of the messages of several religions all cut, rolled and pasted into one. I suppose it beats investigating the 6 world major religions, when you have it all neatly packaged in one little paperback. Apparently . Gary Zukhav - The Seat of the Soul. Excellent. The Healing Power of Mind. Tulku Thondup. Two in particular that did something for me.
knaveman Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Zen and the Art of Happiness, Chris Prentiss. Not entirely a self help book but it helped me help myself.
