Is it more morally acceptable for the 45 year old woman to be at the college party?

Unless she is the mother of one of the college students and she is there to make sure the drinking doesn't get out of hand, then it is pretty lame.

How many 45 year olds do you know who go to college parties?

I can think of one case where there was a certifiable old person at one of the college parties I went to. He was a famous beat writer who lived in our town and everyone was clamoring to be able to speak to him. Totally different scenario.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Lizzy meets her young lads while playing beer pong.

oops, I meant Lizzie, not Lizzy.

No.. in fact.. I don't go after young lads.. they come to me.. ;)

If they would ask me out to a college party.. hummm.. sorry but this wouldn't be for me.. I have no patience with loud music, booze and stupid jokes..

I agree.. the woman... easily.. and she could get laid by more than one guy if she wants. (and I don't mean at the same time )..

I dont think this is fair, because I like pretty young women just as much as you like pretty young men and yet its so much easier for you to pull them than it is for me

I know.. it IS easier for women... big time. I have to agree.. at least we have that. :p

If the older man had a bit money he might get laid by the college girls, just a thought.

I agree definitely the older women would be hit on more so than the older guy.

Theres a couple of twentysomething girls Id love to get with...omg....but I think theyd only see me as a daddy figure and theyd feel sick if I tried anything in any kind of serious way

and im in my mid 30's

But for older women its easy to get with young guys and the guys like it

Why is life so unfair

You got to be kidding me? Life is waaayyyy more 'unfair' for women my dear... it's about the only 'thing' we can have easier than men..

Men have everything.. cake, etc.. :p

Easily, the woman. College boys are horny and will take any opportunity for sex. She's called a MILF.

I don't know any college girl who would get on a 45 year old man at a party, unless he is George Clooney. What is a 45 year old guy doing at a college party anyway?

The woman every time. I'm pretty sure that's been mentioned already. Getting sex as a women is probably easier than as a man at any stage in life. On the other hand the man has a better chance to later marry one of the sweet little college girls than the woman has of marrying one of the young men she's sexing.

In fairness the man probably has a slim chance, but it's a lot better. He better have some serious mojo working.

Guys are wired that way.

Oh the irony. I love when someone says that right after making a huge blunder. Not even a sentence to separate the two! It's like art really.

In reality it means nothing of the sort. What you are saying is the logical equivalent of saying that since the odds of flipping heads is 1:2 then if someone flips a coin twice they will surely get heads once and only once.

In reality there is a mathematical distribution of likely outcomes.

That was uncalled for and I'm sorry for saying it.

Great, and realistic and logical post Pollywag. :)

.... a lot of people see that and figure if they can make it work a second time around and often even more successfully than the first time around ....

The correct term for those is "stupid people", if they really think that second marriages are statistically more likely to last. Maybe that's not what you mean by "successful"?

My workplace has an equal number of 40ish men and women and I'm disagreeing with you.

OK, so how is this following the topic of males peeking in attractiveness at a different time than women?

Wait- If a Woman wants a good man she should start working on it before 30. HuH????????????

Okay, maybe I'm just crazy but I'm 32 and before 30 I wasn't even thinking about marriage. Ba hum bug. I didn't even finish grad school until 26. So, from 18-26 I was in school (undergrad then grad school). I didn't even get a chance to start explorying myself and figure out what IIIIIIIII like until 26! In the collegiate world, most people don't start to get married until well after 30. I know very few married folks and the couple that I do know just got married recently and we're all over 30. Most young professionals are more career/school focused in their 20s and really travelling and enjoying life!!!! I have my whole life to be a wife, I don't need to rush and do it before 30 for fear that no good men will be left. Please!

You know very few married folks around your age? Where do you live?

Well, scientifically speaking if you want to have kids you really dont have your WHOLE life. Just saying.

LMAO that's about right! Not to mention a man that ends up with a woman who is considerably younger will be his own worst enemy. He will always feel insecure that his woman will leave him for someone younger, better looking, more exciting and better in bed (let's face it women who are older don't get worse in bed, men do hands down no comparisson. it's rare that a man over 50 is better than a man in his 20's in bed, for women it's totally different women may lose physical appeal but they have no problem fucntioning sexually) And once she realises that her youth was stolen from her for the "benefit" of some financial means she could totally get on her own free will, she will be out of there. A lot of those relationships don't work out. In 15 yrs when the mom goes to school to see her teenage kid, other teens will wonder who is the MILF with with the grandpa. Most those men end up alone, who wants to take care of a wrinkeld up impotent scrooge at the age of 35 or 45? A woman is in her prime at 35 or 45. There is nothing sadder than a 60 yr old man all alone and lonely basically waiting to die, women in their senior years are more social and tend to be surrounded by more people where as men tend to end up all alone.

I notice that most of the women like YOU and the other 32 year old who is on her high horse about being post grad seem ridiculously bitter. Where do you get your information from? Women in their senior years are more social? I'd love to know what study you grabbed this from. This thread reeks of feminism just as bad male chauvenism. I can agree with both sides about your arguments but youre just spitting out complete bullshyt because you seem bitter towards the male gender.

Plenty of people are generalizing on this post but you are certainly one of the pathetic ones. Puke.

Posted

Well, I don't know about the feminism/chauvinism and all that, but I don't agree that the OP's assertion is true. Men don't age better than women, and they don't "peek' in attractiveness later than women, that is a theory to make men feel better. On top of that, it is so not proveable, it is an assertion which can be debunked over and over again.

LMAO...EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who the hell wants to screw and old man. I'm sorry I'm so not interested. At 32 I wouldn't even be a little curious to screw and old man. Ugh, at my age my guy can pick me up twist me around and do all kinds of tricks..guaranteed his 40+ counterpart can't keep up.. no thank you to the old man!

youd be surprised at how many men in their mid 20's (since you categorized your age range as late 20's - early 30's) wouldnt screw you because they think you are too old. You'd be very surprised.

BTW there are a lot of factors that go into the attractiveness/strength/overall health of an older human being. I know guys in their late 40's who are not only stronger than a 20 yo but could wipe the floor with their ass in a fight. Its amazing what a healthy diet and some mental and physical discipline can do for the body. And to be honest these same people can pass for a 20 something appearance wise.

Posted

Sorry but that's not proving the point, either. There are plenty of women in their 20's who wouldn't hook up with a guy in their 30's either. In general, most men and women go for mates within 4 or 5 years older or younger. As a woman of 36 years old, I find this to be true. As in the case of a 32 year old woman, if a guy is just looking to "screw" someone, he might not even know her age and many 32 year old women could easily pass for a 25 year old woman. So a 25 year old guy could see an attractive 32 year old woman at a bar, take her home and "screw" her, not even knowing her age, so that debunks the screwing theory you have.

At my age, I don't mean to brag, but people are stunned when they learn my age. It is no act. I mean jaws drop when they hear my age. I have worn sunscreen and sunblock and not into tanning, and as I have mentioned before, I am into fitness and eat healthily.

Sorry to debunk your theory but again, to get back to the main topic, lots of older men can look great, but so can women the same age. At the same time, there are many men who look older than they really are and don't age well, same as women.

Men who need to keep comforting themselves by saying all men age like "fine wine" and women are all leather faces by 40 are deluding themselves and basically need to get a life.

Posted
Yes well at least we have that, what do guys have?!??!? haha

What so Switzerland should open up a suicide clinic for women over the age of 40 :rolleyes::rolleyes:

WTF is up with all this women bashing.

Well at least as a women, I can have sex again and again and again without having to stop and re-group inbetween! :p

i dont agree with bashing any genders age. People are beautiful at all ages and the back and forth arguing about whos dick is wrinkly and who has a puffier face has just gotten out of hand. Shows the maturity of most of you. Grow the **** up.

Read what I wrote one more time, maybe it will sink in. You aren't debunking anything. I said that it's amazing what a healthy diet and some mental and physical discipline can do for the body. That was the point I was making. I was also responding to the person who in the previous post talked about a 20 something man who can twirl a girl around while the 40 year old guy will struggle, or something to that same effect.

Apparently in the 1970s, a girl was a "Twirl".

If it's your contention that arranged marriages between older men and younger women in the USA are common enough to skew the outcome significantly, I'm gonna need you to provide a source on that.

The source is simple. Go outside and take a look. You'll see tons of people from India. People from India primarily have arranged marriages. I work in the IT field which is predominately Indian and most of them have arranged marriages to much younger women. Again, the US is the melting pot so pretty much all cultures are represented here.

So you're asserting that a significant number of American are rich and marry young women? While I'm pretty sure that most men will marry young if they can, I'm not sure enough rich men are around to skew the numbers.

I'm not going to google any stats. Everyone on earth knows that many older rich men marry young women. I don't need stats to prove that.

I was debating your statement above in the context of age being a factor, which is what this thread is about. If your extended and revised opinion is that older men are a lot more likely to be able to marry than older women then we actually agree.

No, I said that both Older men and older women have lower chances of getting married period. Additionally, I said that pretty much everyone (men or women) can go out and get married if they just want to be married for the sake of being married. Meaning, I can lower my standards and/or marry someone that I don't feel is the "one" just for the sake of being married. Pretty much anyone can do that!

A little earlier you said you considered people within 3 years to be your age group. Are your views changing? Because I was arguing against the Wednesday, March 11th version of your opinion:

I consider someone within 3 years MY AGE. Meaning, if I say "She looks my age" that means the person looks within 3 years of me. I consider someone with 5 or 6 years of me in my age group. Meaning, we didn't necessarily go to high school together but I'd still consider them relatively close to my age.

Again I guess you need to define what 'close' is, then I will let you know if I agree or not. Your original number of 2-3 years was pure hogwash, but if you want to go with 'within a decade' I might have to agree. Just let me know which is your real opinion.

Answered above. No, I wouldn't call someone 5 years older than me "my age." I'd say that the peson is a little older. Someone 3 years up or 3 years down I'd just say they are my age. 3 years in my opinion is nothing. That is prett much the same age. you're going through the same things at the same time in life.

Not by much. Over the last 120 years the average had only moved a few months. The age difference trend has been steadily increasing at a higher rate however. Honestly this was the opposite of what I expected.

I guess it depends on what you google because everyone that I've read and saw on tv is that the avg. age that a women gets married has increased. Additionally, 50% of women in the US over the age of 18 are single. That was not the case 120 years ago or even 20 years ago.

Are you any good? You honestly don't seem very analytical.

I'm great at it. Hence the reason I'm making 6 figures honey.

Actually, my rational makes perfectly good sense. You clearly didn't take the time to try and figure it out. Like I said, if you had a 12% chance of your plane crashing in a lifetime vs. 12% chance of your car crashing in a lifetime..surely the car crash would more than likely happen before the plane crash as most people don't get on planes as often. The more you do something the more the chances that the adverse reaction will happen. Since marriage is only ONCE the 12% chance that you'll marry young pretty insignificant.

So 600% is 'slight' and 12% probability is 'not worth discussing' in your alternate Universe?

Again, you have an 88% chance of not marrying someone 10 years younger than you. period. 12% is negligible. 12 is damn near 0 when lookin at it out of 100. Surely if you met a 12 year old you'd acknowledge that they are light years from 100 years old but very close to being a baby.

So who do you think would have an easier time getting laid

A forty five year old woman who is in shape, but broke who goes to a party full of college boys

or

A forty five year oldman who is in shape, but broke who goes to a party full of college girls

?

The women EASILY. But the college students would not seriously date either lol.
