blondesmiler Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 So if you sit up close to one of the really powerful jets and have it blasting on your stomach area, does it help or do anything? What do you think?

Author blondesmiler Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 What are you trying to help? I guess I'm confused? Mea:) ah yes good point, I guess like its meant to help cellulite on your bum, thighs helping breaking down the fat and massaging etc but I don't have it there just have a bit of a tum on me.

Ok. I understand now. I honestly think your best bet to firm up your tummy is a combination of power walking and sit ups. I've had 3 kids and my last one did a job on me. But, by walking, and doing sit ups I lost all my baby weight, and firmed up my belly which was rather flabby after poping out 3 babes. I have also lost 15 pounds from walking.. and now I'm under my pre-pregnancy weight by 10 pounds. Mea:)

Hill walking and jogging but nothing. My Mum is built the same as me or should I say me like her so guess its just in my genes. I just thought the jacuzzi might help break the fat down and also massage a bit like that abdominal massage that makes you lose inches (I won't go into how!! )

Well I'm sure it would give you a nice ab massage.. but as far as breaking down the fat, I'm not so sure it's that easy. Do you follow a low carb diet? Mea:)
JamesM Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Hmmm.. Well I'm sure it would give you a nice ab massage... ...and a little lower would give a pleasurable massage as well. Since you are posting about your belly, then for some reason it has become a concern of yours. Why? Did someone mention it to you, or did it just bother you the last time you looked in the mirror? I understand as does anyone who has gained weight at some point. But you have three choices.... Accept it. Fix it. Forget about it. Accepting it means you love it for what it is. Fixing it means you can do exercise or do surgery or lose weight to flatten it. But IMO you still need to accept it. Forgetting about it means you simply lose focus on this perceived imperfection and expand on your many beautiful parts...such as your compassionate and tender personality, your beautiful and gentle smile, your nice hair, your pretty blue eyes...and I am guessing more that cannot be seen in your picture. My point is...if you are concerned that men who meet you will be turned on or turned off based on the size of your belly, then I am here to inform you that they will be infatuated with you long before they see your belly. And if they are not, then I highly doubt that it will be your belly that is the deciding factor. If it is for YOU that you need to fix the "flabby" belly, then I would begin saving for a tummy tuck and move on with life....or make a decision to accept this one small perceived imperfection for what it is...perceived.
Meaplus3 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 ...and a little lower would give a pleasurable massage as well. That's probably very true. Not that I would know or anything. Mea:)
Geishawhelk Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 ...and a little lower would give a pleasurable massage as well. Actually, if I may say so - don't even think about it.... The water contains detergents and chemicals, and it's a well-known fact that there are plenty of nasty things lurking.... water can get forced into the vagina or anus. This water may be teeming with microbes which can lead to an infection. Sometimes residential (and commercial) hot tubs, pools and Jacuzzis are not chlorinated adequately, increasing the amount of bacteria they contain and the likelihood of an infection. Even if the water in a hot tub has a chlorine level maintained in accordance to government standards, there is still a risk of infection if the water is forced into the vagina or anus. (UCB Sexinfo: "The hidden dangers of hot tubbing.") My daughter worked at a health spa and after she had to clean the jacuzzi out a couple of times, she vowed never to have one again..... ugh!!

clv0116 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 If you're serious about fat loss, nothing works like a little hunger and a lot of exercise. Make sure to get plenty of aminos and repeat after me: "Hunger is my friend". Sometimes it helps to have a hard cutoff and a day off, for instance no food after 4:00pm and Saturday you can eat normally.
Honest2Bob Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Well over time it might make your stomach numb. It will make a good back massage!
D-Lish Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 For me- water helps a lot. Lots of water- low on the carbs- cardio.
Taramere Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 So if you sit up close to one of the really powerful jets and have it blasting on your stomach area, does it help or do anything? What do you think? A couple of years ago I stayed at a spa in Switzerland that had these really high powered jet streams in the swimming pool. A row of them on different levels. Within a couple of days I was covered in bruises. Not a lovely look to come home with. I think exercise, skin brushing and saunas is the way to go to get/keep things as smooth as you can. Also, when you're in the shower alternate between warm and as cold as it'll go. Not very cosy, but it gets the circulation going. They say staying off dairy products is also a good plan. I like Alpro soya milk (they do a cream substitute too, which is pretty good). Don't worry about running short on protein and calcium. Soya milk has plenty of that, and if you choose a good brand it tastes pretty good..
