I recall one instance for sure. The met, got married. Sadly, the husband passed away from an illness several years into the marriage.

I have to say, the person would have to be incredibly special for me to "hook up" with them, the connection amazing. Any sense of being comfortable posting here would be lost.

I still keep in touch with, and visit the girl, who doesn't post here any longer as she has happily resolved her relationship problems.

For me part of the appeal of most internet forums is precisely the very remote, hopefully non-existent possibility of a real life interaction. I'd avoid it, even if there was a chance.
