moonbeam125 Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Just out of curiousity, how often do you hug your friends? Every time you say "hello" or "goodbye"? Only certain friends or on certain occasions? What about male-female, female-female, male-male hugs? Also, what type of hugger are you? I've always wondered about those really tight, nearly suffocating hugs...I was just on the receiving end of one of those the other day from a male friend...I was ready to let go, but he wasn't...it's been bugging me ever since!

I do it when its the best time, but if I'm gonna see them awhile it will at a hello and goodbye. Also I pretty much just hold onto them till they let go. As for guys not so much, but when I do its like the one arm man hug type thing haha. Guess I wouldn't exactly know what you mean by a smothering hug since I'm a guy lol. So don't know if this answers your questions.

Mine tend to happen as loose hugs in greeting or goodbye, but usually only if I haven't seen the person for a while or I received a gift from someone. This weekend, I made a presentation and my girl friend gave me a hug in congratulations and then another one when we parted ways. My current crush was also there and I turn to him and say, "What, no hug for me??" He's a pretty big guy, so I only reached out for a one-armed hug on my tippy toes, laying my head on his shoulder. He then squeezed me really hard and I could barely breathe so I let go, but he still held on to me for a couple more seconds. I've never experienced that kind of hug before so I was wondering if tight, nearly smothering hugs were fairly common.
lovestory5 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 And we usually don't hug when we meet people everyday. We hug only when we have holidays and we congratulate each other and also than we can give a kiss. I think I love to hug inside of me, but I am always shy about it. : )
JohnnyBlaze Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Girl friends usually get a loose two-handed hug (unless it's been a long time, in which case they get a longer hug). If they're really cute, they get two hands with one sliding down to their butt. Guys get the one-handed hug, unless they're a Brother, in which case it's two hands (no, no butt-grabbing for the boys).
