tigereyes12 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I've been dating this guy for about 3 months. We're both busy and live on opposite sides of town, so we only see each other on weekends, give or take. We only became physically intimate 3 dates ago (and since that date have spent the night with each other each time). I get the sense that he's quite attracted to me. He's generally very sweet, makes an effort to see me, seems concerned for my well-being, and is physically affection (even in public). We don't really talk on the phone throughout the week, but we text pretty frequently. He holds my hand and rubs my back, keeps a hand on me when we're walking, etc, etc. But we haven't talked about our relationship status. I get the feeling that we're together (or at least are on the verge of being officially together), but...am I reading too much into this? Am I just turning into a hook-up buddy? (I know I should just ask him, but I'm shy and the moment just hasn't been right. I will.)
Phateless Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 If you have to ask, the answer is usually no. Assuming is always dangerous. Just bring it up and ask him what he would consider your status to be. He'll probably say "what do you mean" and you just say "I want you to be my boyfriend." It should be easy. beware though, that if he says "no" and you want a relationship, you have to be prepared to walk away and find someone who does.
