fishtaco Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 As a woman on LS, I have found that some of the men can post totally mysoginistic posts (as can some of the women when being misandristic) but when it comes to down right lets make it personal, bitchiness.... the women have it every time. I think it's because women tend to be better at oratory skills. By that I mean speaking skills, although I'm sure they're good at that other oral skill too. I think I'm getting better at detecting when women take that stance and are ready to lay the smackdown on me. I try to just apologize and run away. Internet arguments are never worth it. But sometimes I do get stupid and let myself get dragged in.

I actually think it shows a lack of intellect and understanding to come back with a personal and bitchy remark when this is supposed to be an open and (hopefully) non-judgemental forum.

I'm probably gonna get gored for this but guys tend to not take things personally like women do. Maybe it's because in the distant past we were more able to do actual serious physical harm to each other? No telling. All I know is that women will often fight so dirty among themselves it's almost embarrassing. I can't tell if you hate each other or just want excitement.

Let's face it, most guys over the age of 25 start to know what buttons to touch and which to avoid.

I wasn't 100% clear but I was talking about the difference between 12 guys talking together and 12 women. Completely different dynamic.

And I think that is what it comes down to, frustration. That someone doesn't agree with another's every thought, that someone has a different opinion to the herd. (Not calling the majority fat cows by the way ) It can be frustrating trying to deal with people on here when you have problems going on in real life, have a bad hair day, fight with friend/parents/partner etc and trying to reason with someone else having a bad day is impossibly annoying. I am in no way trying to say I am not guilty of either encouraging it or being involved at times, but it seems things are getting far more personal on here rather than a mere difference in opinion. I roll my eyes every single time I see someone quoting another's post "but you said this did you not?" Stalking behaviour is weird and plain annoying.

Take a hard look at what I said. It's real simple. A woman can gore a man because she knows the next one in line will want her vagina. A man has no such assurances (that a woman will want his penis) and exerting his physical dominance gets him a nice jail cell. It's so simple, even a simpleton like myself can figure it out, and I'm not even a woman I learned in MC that affairs are a tried and true therapy for a bad marriage. OK, seriously, I think that, considering all the factors flying around in the world right now, things are amazingly respectful and respectable at LS. Thanks for noticing my posts.
