Heroic Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 How can I show my spouse I love them today? It might be as simple as coming home with a candy bar when you stop to get gas, doing the dishes, putting the kids to bed or a glass of wine next to the fire place. I thought you might like...... So I ....... I can tell you the results are hard to argue with.
quankanne Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 showing appreciation and anticipating his needs ... and not being hurt when he doesn't reciprocate. then there are all those little inside jokes between the two of us that just seem funnier because no one else gets them! t might be as simple as coming home with a candy bar I trained the men in my life well: If you want to get (or stay) on my good side, bring me (1) a bar of Hershey's with almonds and (2) a newspaper. It's nothing expensive, but when they do that, it shows they've been paying attention.
sadintexas Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Very nice thought. I wish everyone remembered their SO's daily. It's so easy not to.
Chat Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I had to laugh because I was reading something similar to this on some site and the advise given was pretty average - until this one ...."Let him hold the remote" hehehe For me - it would be "let him play in his garage as he never gets the time due to work and he so loves being in there"
Author Heroic Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 Chat...better yet, bake him up some pizza snacks and bring out a beer to the garage. That says I love you! Then say, "When your done fixing the motor out there wash your hands and fix mine back in the bedroom".
Jennifer26 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I think it's so important to do these things! So often we take our spouse for granted and forget to do the small, thoughtful things we used to do. It can be something so simple, but it really shows you care. My husband was behind on getting his oil changed, and I had an afternoon off (he was in classes) and took his Jeep in to have it done. He was so appreciative, and it took me 15 minutes. He brought me breakfast in bed recently just for the heck of it. These things do mean so much though. Thanks for posting and reminding us all to not take our spouses for granted.

Simple stuff that doesnt require heaps of planning is the way to go - that way you can do it more frequently!
