I belong to a fitness/tennis club and on monday night, my tennis team has drills with one of the pro's. The last couple weeks, I've seen a woman I thought was familiar, but wasn't sure. Last night, I walked by one of the treadmills and she was on it. I was at a vending machine and heard my name called and it was her, turns out she was someone I had dated for a few months a couple years prior. She had put on a lot of weight, and that's why I didn't recognize her. We talked for a few minutes, about what we were doing and the our kids. When we were done talking, I shook her hand and told her that maybe I would see her around the club.

I have no interest in pursuing anything with her, due to how things ended the last time. It was her choice and I respected that, but I have no desire to set myself up for pain again by going back. She still is a very beautiful woman and kudos for her that she was back at the gym working out. I'm sure I'll see her there again, and will say hello and make small talk, but that is it.

I'm sure my story is pretty mundane, and that many of you have ran into ex's. I have to admit to there being a twinge of pain the rest of the night, and I was pretty distracted during tennis thinking back.

Good to see that you guys are civil. I'm not sure what happened to you guys.

I hate running into an ex, it depresses me.
