Why does jealousy make us so bitter?

My ex likes someone and vice versa. I heard from a mutual friend that they're going to get together soon. There are some problems between her and i and she says she wants to talk things out with me, because she doesn't want to lose me as a friend. I'm going to confess that i still have feelings for her and that we shouldn't be friends until those feelings are cleared.

However, do you think it'll be too late.. to confess to her after she gets together with him? Will it even matter to her then? She's coming back from overseas today and i dont know when she wants to talk. She's having some tests the next week and i dont wanna distract her.

And i'd also like to know.. how long did it take you guys to get over a person? I thought it'd be easy, not seeing them everyday. But it sucks to the core.

I think bitterness makes us jealous.

No offense, but you gotta just cowboy up and drop the pity party.

I won't lie, I am as guilty as the next guy, I have been that jealous guy before. The thing is it helps nothing. Its a very possessive way of thinking also, so just realize what you had was a different time, and if its mean't to be she will come back. Be confident and be a man
