griffinchicken53 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 i've got some other posts that kind of touch on this topic, but to sum up i like this girl but she was in a LDR, just found out it ended. now before everyone thanks i'm the biggest piece of crap, let me redeem myself. When i read the update on mspace, my heart sank, i wasn't jumping for joy. i didn't want them to break up. but a small part of me is kind of......hmmmm what if????? so to the topic......i'm starting a job next week, and it is alot of overtime, saying could be up to 6-7 days a week working weird hours. so i have the worse timing in the world, cuz she's single, and i won't have time to pursue anything. arghhhhh.
peteyj Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 How do you really know it's over? I have a couple of friends who change their relationship status on fb and myspace whenever they get into fights. A week later they are back together. Easiest way for you to know anything is to actually talk to the girl and not rely on a social site to tell you whether she's available or not.
zenith Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Whether the LDR ended or not, it is really up to her If you have feelings for her, why don't you ask her out a date and talk about her status?
Author griffinchicken53 Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 that's probably true. i can understand what you are saying about a social site. I'm not going to go break down her door asking her out. i just mean an example that now that i got some job with not much time off, suddenly there would be opportunities to date, but now a new obstacle. i think it is safe to say my timing will always suck and there will always be an obstacle in the way of romance.
zenith Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I'm sure you will find time to do things you want
Author griffinchicken53 Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 i'm chicken, hence the name. i'll end up waiting around while some other guy moves in, then i will blame timing on that.
Author griffinchicken53 Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 i look at the negative, but maybe this could be a glass half full scenario.
confused_2008 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 i'm chicken, hence the name. i'll end up waiting around while some other guy moves in, then i will blame timing on that. Well, there's still time to remedy that situation in this case. What are you waiting for?
Author griffinchicken53 Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 i have no clue what to do. I imagine when a woman becomes single she doesn't want to get asked out by 100 guys in the first day. i don't want to seem desperate. maybe that is why my heart sank, the anxiety of wondering about this stuff.
Author griffinchicken53 Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 called the other day but got voicemail, haven't heard back, but not emailing anytime soon. basically i'm stupid. they'll get back together, it's what happens anytime i think positive and that i don't suck. i didn't say anything bad, but my luck she will probably think i was hitting on her and stop being my friend. So this is why i said i was gonna give up dating years ago? i need to numb my brain of this. ok my negative rant.
anotherworld Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Put it this way: if she gets with you, it's because she's on the rebound.

Author griffinchicken53 Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 i guess i need to just get my mind off of this.
