DavidH Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 We aren't together, but we dated for a little while before and we keep in touch.... sort've. We had a great time but I had to go away to college. I called and left a message to have a good day on Vday morning. She texted back "Happy valentines day <3 !!!!" I thought we were just friends... kinda. but I'm really into this girl. What does a heart mean?
prettybaby Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Hard to say with such little info and based on this one random text. I mean, it's in the context of V-day ... so I wouldn't read too much into it. It could be totally random and the text itself is quite generic. Had she added more personal touches to it, then I might reconsider my feedback.
Author DavidH Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 wouldnt you know though, as a girl, not to text hearts to guys if they were just friends?
Author DavidH Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 nevermind, i dont really want to know. I just want to forget about everything until later and i can find out first hand
prettybaby Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I don't know, honestly. Me, personally, I use a lot of emoticons online and that tends to show through my phone texts too lol So it doesn't necessarily mean much. Is there a chance that it wasn't completely innocent? Yes of course, definitely. I think if you really like this girl and want to take things further, then "forgetting about it" seems a bit extreme and unnecessary. Why not keep communicating with her and test the waters a bit?
Illiandra Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 It really doesnt mean much...your analyzing too much. My gf's and I text with <3 even to our guy friends. And these guys are only our friends. Plus it was a Vday message so it makes sense to put a <3 in the message.
confused_2008 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Don't get too worked up over little things like this. I've caught myself doing that in the past. For all you know, it's a mass text sent out to all of her contacts.
