Have you ever wanted to talk

but never really dared?

Or missed that opportunity

to tell them you still cared?

Pretended that it doesn't hurt

and said that it's okay?

And spent each day wishing

it'd all just go away?

Acted how you're "supposed to"

so no one knew you cried?

And never let them see

how you really felt inside.

 

 

 

 

 

I thought that it was supposed to you & I together but now I see that's another girl's destiny and I have to get up and move forwards with my life.

Your absence left me shattered, Chrissy

Your cold shoulder showed me you didn't miss me

Maybe I treated you wrong, but now I see

I should've never let go the last time you kissed me

Spending days and nights alone is devastating

Because every bit of silence, I hear my heart breaking

I've always been independent, but I think someone needs to save me

Am I caught in a nightmare, if so, someone needs to wake me

Because baby, I was always so strong, but you managed to break me.

 

I feel like I'm in a movie, but I know there'll be no happy ending

Because I've prayed to God many times for a miracle that I'm starting to see he's not sending

Maybe I should pray harder for him to mend me, because he's taken away the girl that to me, was so heavenly

Our future looked so bright, when I thought of you, my heart would sing

Ironic that now those same thoughts have only pain to bring

I know you miss me now though, you always send a text to me

But baby, I already gave you the best of me

So I ignore you, and now my regrets never leave

Overcome with pain to the point I fall to my knees

Astonished how you moved on, like the wind through the trees.
