Yeah I don't find that sexy at all personally.

Well that's you. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

Hey a denim skirt should be part of any wardrobe...

...if you're a 12-year old girl. :D

I think it's funny that it's mostly women responding to this thread when the OP specifically asked for a guy's opinion.

Most guys don't know what a woman's wearing. They either drool or don't. :D

I don't agree. But then I can't stand most of the trashy styles out there.

There's nothing about that look that says "pre-teen" in my opinion. I think it looks great for a casual yet sexy look.

I already knew that.

And people post so damn fast here I couldn't edit to say I do not like minis that hug the legs in any way. IMO, it should be very soft and loose, even flaring a little if needed.

And like Touche says it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

Sooo true. Unless they're gay. Most gay guys have a good eye for fashion..men's AND women's.

Actually this and Trial's posts are just you girls trying to be inflammatory. I have very strong feelings on what I like women I'm seeing to be wearing and it has to do with what I find appealing and sexy, not my sexual orientation. And I do not demand they wear anything. They either wear what I like or they don't.

So true! I've found, though, that men and women often disagree about the clothes that make a woman look sexy.

So, it would be cool to hear some more actual guy opinions on the subject.

I mean, I really don't want to be left with "t-shirt with no bra." Can't we do better than that?? :)

What? It's true. Most of my male friends would say something like this.

"She looks hawt in that dress thing"

or

"What an arse"

or

"Guuuhhhh"

I've never heard a hetero man say, "I like a woman in a silk boucle jumpsuit".

Just because they don't know what it's called exactly doesn't mean they don't have an eye for fashion. I was actually worried about posting in this thread because I know what I like but I don't know what the clothing is called so it can be hard to express what I like or find slutty. For example, there was a tight fitting outfit a girl I dated used to wear that drove me up the wall but I don't know what it's called. They were black tight fitting cotton with some kind of stirrups that go under the feet. She'd wear that and a pair of high heels. I loved it and is one of the few outfits that I see women wear, that don't show leg, that I find sexy.

IMO, you made it out that we don't see what they're wearing because we're looking past it. That isn't true but I will admit that no-matter what you wear we're thinking of taking it off you.

:lmao: It's really true. I remember not long ago when we were on vacation and one day I asked H if I should wear the cami or the golf shirt. He said "what's a cami?"

Didn't those stirrup pants go out in the 80's?:lmao: If not, they should have. I hated that look. It looked like women were wearing tights with high-heels. Kinda trashy looking if you ask me.

I think they look a little trashy too.

Sometimes a good thing. Thank the lord for those women stuck in the 80's.

Never a good thing in my book.

I guess it depends what kind of guy you want to attract...no offense.

Why would I take offense??

Women have needs same as men. I don't fault them for that at all.

All I can say is that I seem to get noticed a lot more when wearing jeans and a t-shirt or tank top, than a trendy outfit complete with nice shoes. The key is to wear something that is a little tight and to have one nice color in there somewhere.

To illustrate my point a little more:

Ex: I like you in that black skirt.

Me: Umm...I have 10 black skirts, which one?

Ex: The one you wore the other night.

Me: Which night?

Ex: I can't remember.

Me: Describe it.

Ex: It was about this long (indicates length on me).

Me: I don't have a skirt that length.

Ex: Oh...I don't know.

Me: Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you like whichever skirt it was.

See I make sure she is made aware of what I like at the time so hopefully I see it more. I don't like being told what to wear so I don't do it to women but that's why I make sure and say something. If they don't know, then you can't fault them for not wearing stuff you like more often. And trying to describe it a week later doesn't always cut it.

Depends on the situation but while I like jeans (no, not in a skirt Daisy Mae) what really does it for me on a date is a casual below the knee skirt with a nice blouse. The blouse can show either arms or neck or even some back but please no cleavage.

I want my date classy and if she looks like that it really does it for me.

Ironically I'm either a jeans and shirt guy (sweater in cool weather) or a business suit and tie guy, I have almost nothing in between. Sad I guess.

So you kick her out of the restaurant if she shows a bit of cleavage? :lmao: I'm just kidding. I hate skirts that hit below the knee in general, since I'm short and don't have the longest legs. I like skirts that hit just above the knee--but not mini's. OR dresses can hit anywhere and still look good on me, for some reason. I actually always found dresses more attractive on me and others than skirts.

I love dresses also, and over the knee is OK too but not much. Sometimes a dress looks overdone for a casual date but I guess I'd like to see what you have in mind. As for cleavage no of course not but it depends a lot on the individual case. I just don't think people should wonder if you're gonna have a wardrobe failure any second or not.

Why don't you girls link some things you like and just have the guys discuss those specifically?

Oh and I do have one piece of random advice.

Don't wear what you know a guy likes all the time since we can't learn to have new fantasies about new clothing if you never wear anything new and different.

Plus I had one chick wear the same damn outfit constantly after I told her I liked it. I found it a tad clingy so you can go too far.

Sexy is an outfit that just subtly hints at the hotness underneath

Slutty is an outfit that busts it in your face :)

But, I personally am a bit nostalgic about the long gone era when women dressed like presents :D.
