hie.

i brokeup with my bf of 1 month bcos he had some career problems. he assured that he did not cheat on me and said it was all wrong timing.

he asked to remain as friends.

however, i was just wondering whether after a breakup, can a girl and a guy really become friends in this situation??

i am afraid that i'll wait for him (because we didn't get a chance to really be together and he kept saying i am a good gf and sorts) and he'll fall for another. ;p

I agree that the length of time that two people are together plays a big part in determening whether or not the two can remain friends after a breakup. Since you two had only been officially together for 1 month, I'd say yes, it's possible, but I don't know the situation. How attached has this man become to you? If he was very upset over the breakup and still wants to be with you, then being friends right now just isn't possible (speaking from very painful experience). However, if the breakup was sort of mutual, and he does not seem to be okay with the breakup, i'd say it can be done.

i knew him for 1 1/2 mths before gettin officially together. well, it was kind of a mutual thing.

both of us were sad over the break up but i must say the relationship was not very strong. it's all wrong timing, that's what he said.

but i really want to remain as friends cause he's really nice and all. but i do not want to be seen as if i am bothering him and not strong with my decision.

thx
