kirk205 Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I recently met a girl online and we had a good first date at a nice restaurant. She is a manager and seems very confident. For a second date we had dinner and a movie and ended it with an awkward kiss. She paid for the dinner and I paid for the movie / snacks. She called me the next day and said we will have to work on the kiss and invited me for a homemade dinner at her house. She wasn't sure what she was making. I'm not sure if I should get her a gift, I was thinking wine, but I don't know what she is making. Since it is only our third date should I even be getting her a gift? and valentines day is on Saturday, so should I wait for a gift till then? or skip it and only do a nice date since we are so new? Thanks
alphamale Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I'm not sure if I should get her a gift, I was thinking wine, but I don't know what she is making. take one red and one white, but don't spend too much....around $15 for both should do it Since it is only our third date should I even be getting her a gift? whenever you go to someones place for dinner you should take something....date or not. and especially if you don't know them that well. and valentines day is on Saturday, so should I wait for a gift till then? you're not quite at the valentines day stage yet
SoulSearch_CO Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 take one red and one white, but don't spend too much....around $15 for both should do it I fully agree with this. Bases covered regardless of what she's making, and then she has another bottle she can use later and she'll think of you when she opens it.

blondesmiler Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Def is curtious to bring something to someones house if invited for dinner. Some wine and small flower gift would be nice. The wine goes with dinner (and thus will be for both of you), the flowers for her.

I was once given a gift on a 2nd date, which happened to be Valentine. If anything, it's a good move that shows how serious he is with her. OP, if you can afford it, get her a nice little thing from Kay.
