kittykatz Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I know I'm young (I'm 20 years old) and I have my whole life ahead of me (as many people have told me), but I just can't help but feeling as if I will never meet someone to fall in love with. Almost everyone I know has found that special someone and no one has shown any interest in me. Many people have told me that I'm mature for my age because I'm not interested in just trying to get some ass. I did that for a while and it turned out horrible for me. But because of this does that mean I'm going to be forced into this dry spell?
gopher Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 All I can go by is what I would do if I was 20 again...I would explore my interests, hang out with friends, back pack across Europe..in short, make life an adventure. One of the burdens of being older, is that us oldsters KNOW you will meet someone....it's a fact! But, it has a better chance of being healty and successful if you are a healthy, well rounded person. Honestly, do you want to meet someone who is alone, has no interests and feeling sorry for themselves? Or do you want to meet someone who is interesting, has a life, cool friends and is a positive person? Be true to yourself, but be the best you can be and you'll attract like-minded people. Good luck!!!
OpenBook Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Honey, I've been "forced" into more dry spells than I care to admit to. I've learned to just take them as they come, and milk as much pleasure and fun as I possibly can out of the people and passions that ARE currently in my life. Bloom where you're planted!! And he'll come along eventually anyway, no matter what you do. And that's when the REAL trouble will begin...
Lovelybird Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 This sounds cliche, but so true: when you are happy and content when you are single, only then you can attract right one, the charm one into your life. when the moment comes, it is beyond beautiful. when you are not lonely, you can find that one; but finding a lover cannot make you not lonely somehow you have to be not lonely first, make your heart and spirit content and satisfied. and I know only one can make that happen: Spirit of God
