Recently I've been feeling pretty alone and its starting to get to me. I have plenty to offer, I'm independent, educated and have never had a problem meeting women. However, the past 9 months I've been single I've gone on a total of one date, which has been hard for me. I'm feeling discouraged, and although I know its unlikely It will stay this way forever, Its been hard to get used to. I broke up with my gf of 3 years about 9 months ago and decided to take a self-reflective period of no dating to get my head straight. Only thing is I never imagined it would last almost a year.

What I find is pretty fun though, is that when people look at me they assume I have a lot of friends, dates, nice car, you get the idea. While I do have a nice car, the other two have been lacking for some time. During the week all I do is work and go to school and honestly I never talk to anyone during the week unless its at one of those places. Its funny, I have a cell phone and MAYBE use 200 minutes a month talking to friends. That's how little I talk to anyone anymore. Weekends are great cuz I hang around with guy friends but its the same cycle over and over. School/Work/Guy friend weekends. There are no dates, and haven't been for some time. Anyway that's where I'm at right now and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i suggest you save up some money and go travelling. Get out of your comfort zone experience new people and cultures the world is so big and you must see it.

I know how you feel, I have been feeling very lonely myself. I also have a good job, nice car, nice place, but I can't meet a girl for the life of me.

Honestly you sound like you're in a very good place. I think you were smart to take 9 months to spend alone and reflect rather than hop into something too quick. The next girl you get serious with will respect you for that ;).

Anyways to me it doesnt sound like you have a problem here. The only thing I would suggest now that you are craving social time "without" the boys is start going on some dates. How you may ask? Well the easiest way I know how is to join match.com. If you're not comfortable with that the next time you go out with some friends I suggest picking a wingman and trying to converse with girls.

You don't really need advice, you just need to start going on some dates.
