hotgelato Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Here we go again - Can anyone review craigslist? Any weirdos/ creepers there? or some decent ones also? How about match.com? Is it worth the subscription fee? I'm in the boston area, and I would like to get some of your input on where to meet good guys-
PinkKittyKat Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I find OKCupid is consistently good for all the friends I've recommended it.
BCCA Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Okcupid is nice because its essentially free. The frustrating thing about match/eharmony is that youre paying $40/month, and it can take a while to even get a date. I know people who say good things about match, but then again, are still on there and dating people a year+ later, so im not sure what that says about it. I would just try okcupid and see what happens. Good luck!
likestolaugh Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 just try plentyoffish. It's free, and just as good as any other, judging from the people I talked to and met there.
SoulSearch_CO Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Have tried eH and Match. I didn't necessarily like eH all that much since matches were pretty much shoved at me - I didn't get to choose. However - I now have a BF from eH that I'm liking A LOT. Although I liked Match because I could look around and pick and choose myself, I did not like it because guys that had characteristics that I stated clearly I did NOT like would contact me. I got lots of contacts from definitely not-compatible guys on Match. I have heard that on dating sites it's harder on the guy because the girls seem to have a lot more to choose from. So I guess the big tip would be to be persistent - send out lots of emails to girls because based on what I've heard, the return is really low for guys. So...worth the fees on eH and Match? Yeah, I think so. 1-month sub at eH and 3-month at Match.
