Hello. There is this girl from work that I like. We have gone out with a couple of times. I have not made a move exactly but I did like come out and tell her that I liked her and enjoyed spending time with her. And she said that she had her hearth broken recently and needed me to give her some time. Now should I take this as a defeat and just not even pursure anything and move on? Or does this leave some hope? I feel like she could have told me something like "I just want to be friends" instead.

Check this;

Not making a move in the first couple of dates is perfectly acceptable. BUT, in todays dating scene (how old are you?), you make a move BEFORE telling someone you like them. I'm dead serious. "Like" is almost becoming synonomous with "love", and that scares people with "broken hearts" (yeah right).

So, I believe there COULD be hope. But tone it back back back. GL.

:mad:. I hate how the word "love" is thrown around so easily now-a-days. News flash: you are incapable of "loving" someone after a few dates. Love is something that is earned in a relationship over time.
