neveragain2493 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I'm friends with a guy. We have been friends in the past until he had a girlfriend for about a year and a half. She is basically crazy. She lied about me to him, was jealous of me, showed up at my house, etc. He believed her and not me. This past weekend, the two broke up [she had been talking to other guys anyways, he didn't know, she told all of her friends she didn't like him anymore]. So he, of course, came to me and talked about how he was sorry and needed a friend to listen to him. I try to be a good friend, and I know how it feels to be in his position, so I mentioned what was going on. It turned out he didn't know she was liking/'talking' to another guy. We've been talking since then, but lately I notice that he takes a bit longer to respond. Today, she broke up with the guy she was seeing. To sum up my problem, I am so paranoid and scared that she will go back to him upset, he will take her back, and I will be ignored again and put on the back burner. I told him I was scared of things going back to the way they were, and he simply said, 'Don't worry about me'. When I asked what he meant, he said, 'I know what I'm doing. It's in God's hands.' I then said 'Well, if you go back to not talking to me and talking about how you hate me to her again, all I can say is that I tried my hardest to be a good friend.' He said, 'You are a good friend'. I replied, 'Yeah. But you sometimes forget until I'm there for you when you need me.' Haven't received a response. Judging by what he said, what do you think is going on? Please help me. This is stressing me out. It makes me sick not knowing what is happening/going to happen.
