frustr8ed Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 A question for you all. I bought a Valentines Day gift for this woman I have been hitting it off with lately. I have known her since last summer but recently we have been getting really flirty with each other and chatting each other up a bit, though I haven't asked her out on a date yet. We work together so I want to make sure the risk is worth the reward. Alright to the point! She collects different kinds of socks (yeah, I know), so I saw some Valentines Day socks while shopping and picked up a few pairs for her, so it isn't nothing extravagant, just a fun gift. Still, I'm kind of getting cold feet about it all. Is it a good idea to give her a gift this early in the ball game? I'm just worried it might blow up in my face.
curiousnycgirl Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Sounds fairly safe - you can pass it off as just a sweet gesture between friends. But why would you even contemplate someone from work?! Please rethink this one
Author frustr8ed Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 I'm a glutton for punishment . I work in a restaurant at night so my interactions with the women folk are limited. For every trainwreck I have witnessed I have seen sucessful relationships as well. Most restaurant gigs are usually just a step in peoples lives, then they move on to a different job. I also wont make a move unless I feel it's absolutely what I want, no conflict between my heart and that little voice in the back of my head going "eehhh".
